Would you like a primer on Clan organization?
IV. Organization
A: Hierarchy of the Clan and voting stock.
1. Shogun (4) Warlord - for all intents and purposes the leader of the Clan. The title of Shogun denotes the overall head of the military.[President]
2. Hatamoto (4) Warlord - The Standard bearer. This title was historically used to denote the bodyguards of a military commander or nobleman. This title was given to the most loyal retainers of the Shogun. Here it will be our elite player, as determined by an annual tourney. [Secretary of Defense]
3. Daimyo (3) Warlord - The upper nobility, Daimyo are semi-autonomous Warlords that may act on the Shoguns behalf in minor matters. [Vice President]
4. Oyabun (3) Warlord - In the case of an annexed part of the chapter, an Oyabun will preside over that particular group. They will be considered as a Daimyo in terms of power in their group, and as a Gokenin in the main group. [Ambassador]
5. Gokenin (2) Officer - An honorable member of the household. This is someone who holds sway due to extenuating circumstances (Especially an appointed Office.)
6. Baishin (2) Officer - Essentially a field general, these are members in charge of recruitment efforts as well as combat training (Practice...)
7. Bushi (2) Officer - The Sergeant. These are elite warriors who take a place of precedence.
8. Samurai (1) Member - The lower class of warrior.
9. Yoshi (1) Member - Warriors of an annex are considered Yoshi (Children of the clan.)
10. Ashigaru (1) Member - Foot soldiery class. (And most prolific class) This class of warrior is the standard soldier class. This is where most people begin their tenure.
11. Ronin (.5 vbp) Member - Those who are in absentia due to personal issues, (not suspension or expulsion) are Ronin. In rare cases when a member of Ikari Tenshi wishes to join another clan for an extended period of time he may speak to the Shogun who may at that time bestow Ronin status upon the member.
12. Grasshopper (0) Other - An acolyte of the clan - Someone who is on probationary membership. The clan must vote in a simple majority to invoke a probationary membership for a potential Member.
13. Dignitaries (.5 situational) Other - A representative from another Clan of group.
14. Gaijin (0) Other - An oppositional or non-affiliated person. Anyone who is not in the Clan is Gaijin. This includes visiting dignitaries.
15. eta (-) Other - eta are expelled members of the Clan. They bring with them great shame and should never be spoken of aloud.
There is Ikari Tenshi's Heirarchy Section from Horitsu...
