Well, I guess this'll teach me to go on vacation ever again.
Eight pages in the last two weeks? Over two hundred posts? There goes my pride of having a thread that wasn't filled with useless posts for the most part.
Geez guys, so much for letting the thread die huh?
Anyways, thanks to everyone that tried their best to end the flame war, and an extra special "tsk tsk" to those that kept it going. Just because there's a sense of anonymity in forums like these, it doesn't mean we should practise being jackass's.
A special thanks to Konoka_chan for helping me get a few messages to you guys while I was fishing in lakes and getting lost in the wilderness for the past two weeks.
There's a couple things I'll clarify for everyone as well.
First, the idea that this thread needs to be kept bumped. Obviously the idiotic flame war that sprung forth during my absense should be proof enough that this is a terribly bad idea. I hardly think that keeping my post count up matters in the least. I could sit here and create 10 accounts if I wanted to and just have a conversation going between them if I wanted to do that. Granted that's pretty sad, but if I really cared that much about posts it would certainly be an option.
Secondly would be the supposed death of my fanbase....Well that's pretty redundant too. Over half the people that initially started to read this story I now communicate with through PM's, simply because its easier that way, and they don't have to stick around the thread waiting for a chapter. Don't get me wrong I really appreciate everyone that posts useful stuff in the thread, so don't go thinking I secretly hate you or something.
If anything I'd say the popularity of this fanfic is at an all-time high, even with my giant breaks inbetween chapters.
I have a paid account at fanfiction.net, which gives me a nice little hit counter for how many people click and read my story.
Chapter 18 had 1300 hits from unique isp's, not bad huh?
Lastly, I'll post Chapter 19 sometime tomorrow. As it is right now I'm supremely exhausted and I work in only three hours. I need some form of rest, and formatting a chapter is not likely to be something that fits into that category.
Obviously saying, "Let the thread die" carries about as much sway as a feather, so I'll give up and just keep my mouth shut.
