Clark usually keeps us on a tight leash, but when he's not around we run free, like wild animals as we tear apart the thread.

Yeah I can kind of see that, allthough you were not "that" bad at the beginning of the forum. But now that I've returned from fanfiction.net.......

Dear Konoka_chan,

I cannot express how dire the situation is. I can only tell you that you have too, with as much swiftness as possible, hunt down Mr_Clark and return with an E.T.A for the release date of the next chapter before all semblance of civility degrades and we de-volve into fan-fic zombies and start eating the brains of fan-fic writers in the search of next chapter sweetness,

Make haste, the end is neigh...

Haha, well I did get a rather amusing e-mail from Clark yesterday.

It said something about moving into the Northwest Territories to live with the polar bears, where he will become the king of the North. Then, after he has sufficient time to help the polar bears adjust to the warming climates, he will lead an army of them into Southern Canada and take over.

After that he had put a link to a page from the Apple store, and it showed an Apple iBook 15".

So, using my amazing deductive powers I concluded that there must be something terribly wrong with his old laptop.

He sent me Chapter 22 earlier today however, to proof-read, and I must say its a doozy. There's a note at the end of the chapter however that he doesn't have readily available access to a computer so I'm not sure how long you'll have to wait until the final copy gets done.

Hey guys, I'm really sorry about the disappearing act, and i'm sure you're all wondering what the hell is going on.

I'd do a recap of the events but I've hijacked Konoka's pc at the moment and I don't really have any time at the moment.

Basically I can sum up the situation in a couple words...

Hard Drive Failure

See, my laptop was not the smart cool laptops with all those neat features where if its dropped or struck, the hard drive is instantly protected. Despite the fact I only bought the damned thing a year and a half ago.

Basically it comes down to this. My hard drive was literally wiped clean after this stupid stupid stupid escapade during Thanksgiving weekend. All of it. I don't know what the hell happened that caused this disgusting thing to just collapse in on itself and stop functioning, all I know is everything is gone.

When was my last backup?

Seven freaking months ago.

....
....
....
....

When I got the call the other day from the repair shop (took it to CompuSmart by the way, where I know a guy on the Tech Staff), and was informed of the problem, I will not lie.

I nearly wept. Hold your thumb and forefinger as close together as possible without touching, and there you go. That's how close I was.

I've never felt so completely and utterly useless in my life. I lost so many things, I just can't even begin to catalogue it all.

Suffix to say, basically go back in time to March. That's where I am right now.

Luckily for you guys I had already sent Chapter 22 to my e-mail account, so it's still alive, and using an old clunker pc at my buddies place I sent it along to Konoka, so whenever I get off of here she can go ahead and check it over for me.

Basically she goes over the chapter, fixes the easy spelling and grammer mistakes, but a bigger role is telling me what scenes fit where and how. Should I rework this scene? Maybe move it back a page? Stuff like that.

Once she's done editing I'll try and find some kind of computer that'll let me take her considerations into observation and implement them. The only other pc in my house right now has a corrupted Microsoft Word, so all I have available is WordPad, and I seriously can't write using that thing.

Probably be Monday when I throw it up.

As for me, I'm already shopping for a new laptop, and as Konoka pointed out, I'm looking at an Apple iBook. If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate the. I don't do desktops though.

Ever since Friday I've been listeing to "Mad World". If you've ever seen Donnie Darko you've probably heard it.

Final little thing before I leave, have you guys ever wondered just how much stress someone can absorb before killing themselves? Well, I'm sure I'll find out with the way things are going right now.

I'd go for a dell 'inspiron' laptop, or well thats what i think it is. It works fine. The only problem I've had is a virus and with NOD32 that was easily fixed. Can't wait for monday night (NZ time) keep up the good work.

I feel your pain Mr-C. I once didn’t back up my hard drive once and it had a, pretty much, wild cat melt down of the reactor core, sentinels everywhere skin charred to the bone etc. etc. lots of screaming and pain, not to mention I had to drive my warthog 12miles in 5minutes, it was craziness I tell ya. (its funny how Microsoft programmes always seem to corrupt isn’t it)… All I can say is that you should employ the uses of an aluminium baseball bat and take to that now obsolete laptop. This should release some of the pent up fury you have caged inside you.

Ps, I recommend you stop listening to mad world, a mad world this maybe, but that songs just plain depressing. Just remember Donny Darko couldn’t change the past and he was a fictional character... bash that laptop, bash it goooooooodOOOODDD o_O

I hated the movie Donny Darko, that really sucks about the laptop Mr. Clark, but I am glad that you were smart and sent an email to yourself, thank god.
