Yes indeed, I am definitely not done this story just yet.
I've had a bit more bad news in the last while unforunately. I can't recall if I said this before, but an old girlfriend of mine that moved to the UK last year, is also the author of a particular story that I greatly enjoy. She hadn't updated in awhile, so I finally gave her a call (at considerable cost to myself - monetary wise) and it turns out she's been laid up in the hospital for the last few months. Leukemia is what it is, but I'm not too sure what kind it is. Luckily its one of the more survivable kinds, I think it might be the kind my brother was infected with a few years back.
So yes, as if that wasn't bad enough, my family's cats have escaped and gotten lost somewhere. Movers came by the other day to bring in a new couch for my basement, and with the door left open, the fiesty little buggers escaped. Today I spent most of the day scouring the neighbourhood for them. Unfortunately they've alluded capture so far. I'm laying traps down, really they're just lobster traps, rigged with pieces of New Years turkey.
In better news, I'm climbing the ranks in DoA, now in Survival I'm up to rank 32, which is great. My only competition is a few Americans, one German guy, and a ton of Japanese players. I'm still the only Canadian, alone at the top, representing my country.
Look for more news on Tuesday about the next chapter. It should be fun!
Edit: This is what happens when you gloat people. Not only did my awesome run in Survival not save because of the disgusting glitches inherent with DoA 4, but now another Canadian player has unseated me as top Canuck in the charts.
Terrible....terrible...
