One can only assume that the poor mortal failed to understand what I meant by, read the chapter on fanfiction.net, thus his confusion as to whether the chapter was in fact, written by someone else. Then again, that makes no sense whatsoever.

I set up a temporary forum over on ff.net, so the users on that site can actually get some of their questions answered. You guys are lucky, cause I stop by so often here and answer some of your questions, but unless I'm updating on fanfiction.net with a new chapter, those people are generally screwed, cause I don't think I've ever answered a question in my Author's Notes. Aside from stuff about Jan and the Master Chief having hot sex, and that's just because my head was threatening to implode out of the headaches that arose.

Meanwhile, the new OXM mag came with that free Final Fantasy XI beta thing. My friends tell me it takes like, 4 hours to install, so there goes me playing it.

Granted I didn't have much enthusiam for playing such an old game, just so I can say that I'm playing on MMORPG on a console.

No, instead I want to play Black, because that game looks crazy awesome. It looks so amazing, that even though EA has dipped its poisonous talens into it, I still want to buy seventeen copies just so I can give copies away to charity, and have the people at the Red Cross erect effigies of my enemies and then burn them as I watch, laughing maniacally.

This section is bolded, because I felt it needed to be bolded. That's the only answer I'll give.

It's only been a short time since I announced Working Designs was killed by Sony, but all ready another company is giving way, and I must vent my pain.

Majesco is giving up on the console business, and devoting its sole efforts to portables. This means, of course, that the Advent Rising trilogy will never see fruition, and I can't express just how damn depressing that is. Konoka can attest to the absolutely vile language I used when I saw that news story.

It was like someone punched me in the spleen, and then I received a roundhouse kick from Chuck Norris that knocked me out of a car windshield, even though I was inside a house.

So this needs to be said:

Goodbye Gideon Wyeth. Though your adventure shall never see through to it's completion, I swear to God and all that is Holy, when the day comes, I will buy the rights from Majesco, kidnap Michael Ancel (creator of BG&E and King Kong The Game), and finish off your adventure. If Orson Scott Card is dead by then, I'll write the rest of the script for the trilogy.

Peace be with you my brother.

"I hope nothing, I fear nothing, I am free"
"A person needs a little madness, or else they never dare cut the rope and be free." - Nikos Kazantzakis
"The ink of the scholar is more holy than the blood of martyrs" - Hasan al-Basri
Black Chapter, for all religious and political debate that doesn't fit in the Flood.

Do some people never learn? attempting to flame a fan fic author is suicidal, you get black listed by everyone else until they finally get bored of ripping you a new one.

On the other hand, the last original story idea was created by agatha christie - 10 people in a room and they all die, and various variations of that.
Think final destination.

Otherwise, great chapter, its been far too long since we had something to read, im surprised the army didnt start marching around burning things to be honest... we would have you know... 'go forth and destroy americas government and i shall bestow upon thee the next installment of the great tapestry known as the end of a war!'

Revenge of the nerds and halo players.... that could be fun :D

Nice Work Clark!

I liked the shift in perspective. The cool part is you can paint the scene how your character is seeing it. Johnson might make choices that on the outside might not make a'lot of sense from the 3rd person. From the 1st person perspective, you get a deeper understanding of who the person is and why Johnson makes the decisions in the way he does. This could also be used to twist up the story allowing the reader (me) into assuming one thing, but the actual truth being another. Can you say "I see dead people"?

1st person also shows the internal struggle for control between him and his mind and body altering DNA. One wonders if it were the flood inside of him that took over for the purpose of protecting both of them? Flood cannot exist without the other!

If your itching to do another first person, lets see a brief clip on Ackerson. Now that would be interesting! Piss us off and make us hate him more (no, not by 100% cruelness, but instead by his contridictory goals/actions).

Looking forward to the just what you have in store for us next!

u know mr clark, ur just copying sir brilliant's idea of writing?

was that the ending, when he feels a leg strike his back?

Wow...that's interesting. I never thought of that...why don't we all start saying stupid things!

wtf are you talking about proteus? I'm guessing you read the beginning of my fic (being that you never posted in my thread) and that you read the beginning of clark's. Now if they are similar, that doesn't mean someone stole from the other. If the writing style is similar, doesn't mean someone stole from the other. Hell, it would be stealing if the ideas were identical, or at least very similar, but they aren't. And just to let you know, writing style is something that is meant to be stolen, because there is no such thing as an original writing style anymore. Everything's been done. My writing style is a mixture of several different authors, some of which i can name, and others that leak into my writing every now and then. So don't blame people for things like this without thinking about it beforehand, or at least asking.

I cracked under the pressure, and installed PlayOnline along with the FFXI beta on my 360. After an agonizing period of filling in stupid useless information, I finally started the game, only to be told the server was filled, so for some reason the character I created was changed, and I was sent to a different town, that was so buggy and laggy, that I played for three minutes, and then uninstalled the damn thing right away.

I think I'll wait till an actual good MMORPG hits the 360 for me to play. Rumors abound that there's a Lord of the Rings MMORPG in the works for PS3 and the 360, set to be released in 2007. If that turns out to be true, I can only hope they use the books for the basis, and not the movies.

In other news, I'll be picking up a second job soon. Its a tad daunting, I'll be working 6-8 hours during the day, then another 8 hours at night. That'll be anywhere from 14-16 hours every day aside from whatever I can negotiate for weekends. Manual labour for the win!

Oh well, I've had jobs since I was nine years old, all I'm doing is upping the ante. At least my savings will be nice and big when its time for me to move in the summer.

Check out the halo section on fanfiction.net, its got stories dating back to 2002. People have also posted fanfiction on the Bungie forums for quite some time. I fail to see your point.

Assistance!

Huee, I've forgotten how terrible it is to go looking for jobs. Its so dull and annoying. Plus I don't have any idea what I'm really looking for. I guess since I all ready do the manual labour thing for nights working in the warehouse, I should go for something a little more easy on my body.

Any ideas guys? I'd greatly appreciate it. Keep in mind I live pretty close to one of the biggest malls in the world (can't remember if Edmonton still has the record or not), so my options are pretty wide and varied. Help me narrow it down.

.......

In other news, I'm going to set aside a large chunk of time on Sunday, and see if I can't pull ahead of things in regards to Chapter 23. I think I just might be able to almost finish it if things work out, but given who I am, I'm not going to make any promises as of yet.

Mr.Clark, I never post in this thread (sum it up to laziness) but I am a big fan of your work. Just posting to say I feel some of your pain. Finding a job right now is harder to do now then defending on a Big Team assault on Headlong. By yourself.

Try to find something you'd semi-like to do (pick an insanly boring/busy job and you'd kill yourself, and then we'd never see the end of this fic). Good luck is I guess what I'm saying, and God speed
