Mr. Clark you give dont give urself enough credit for writing great history, people like the history, lots of people
i love the history, i got history from like 3 made up galaxies in my head(that makes me look really geeky)
yes, u should include all the history you can, and besides, you make it all look so official even though theres not much info, a couple times when i was reading i was wondering if mabe you have a secret source of info or something

now the longer the story the better, and really, we need to go into johnson's head more about the flood issue, im sure it would be quite interesting

i wanna say more about what i think about the future of the story but im afraid i will give away too much info, im rather good at predicting what sort of major things will happen next in certain areas

yeah, the history chapters are very interesting, and when it's on the forrunners it's very interesting

"A person needs a little madness, or else they never dare cut the rope and be free." - Nikos Kazantzakis
"The ink of the scholar is more holy than the blood of martyrs" - Hasan al-Basri
Black Chapter, for all religious and political debate that doesn't fit in the Flood.

What can I say? you kill us all with suspense and we still come back for more... thats some talent, most people just stuck with ranting at bungie for halo 2s cliffhanger, at valve for HL2s, at far crys... okay, at pretty much every cliffhanger known to man people have gotten annoyed... yet you do it with the skill to hook everyone along... just dont apply that skill with women, it can get annoying :p

Great work Mr. Clark, And for now, I bit you adieu, im disappearing off the face of the world for a week : )

...and so it seems that Johnson is going to become a Half-Breed, and Fasul knows it, maybe Halsey too but i couldnt figure that out. Also why can't they just take off the Reclaimer Armor and have John reemerge from Cyriacus? It was very interesting though, especially that last bit about under the surface of danrun those catacombs. It probably means that Danrun is the birthplace of the Flood. hehehe :)

I agree with everything you said except i don't think Danrun is the birth place of the Flood but rather they are just under there waiting. That was an awesome chapter Mr. Clark it answered many questions, but what i am waiting for the most is what is happening to MC. Can't wait for the next keep up the good work.

So could it be that is going to be more chapters than you have said already or are the Forerunner history chapters going to be apart of the original capter count?

The Forerunner Chronicles, as I've come to call them shall be separate from my overall projections on the length of the story, because really, until this week I figured I'd be skipping over them and not writing them ever. So for now we'll go along with saying there's likely to be 6 chapters remaining, two set aside for the Forerunner history.

They'll be long though, super-duper long. Longer than Chapter 22. Yeah that's right, I went there. I won't go into specifics about what's dwelling inside them too much, but understand that this is a retelling of Fasul's tale, so we won't be going too far back in time. Use your imagination as to what just might be detailed in such a thing.

Meanwhile I'm disappearing for awhile, as this weekend kicks of 'Reading Week' where I live. I've got my stack of books to read and enjoy. For fun I'll list them here. Keep in mind I've only got a week to get through them, so I'll be fairly busy:

Catcher in the Rye, Crime and Punishment, The Great Gatsby, Little Women, Tale of Two Cities, Watership Down, 1984, The Lovely Bones.

Go literacy!

Phoenix is dead, long live Phoenix!
Is it?

Just edit your original one next time. saves us from the mods.

Just to clarify there are 2 history chapters and four present chapters left?
Out of interest will you be trying to write any ballards or stuff like Soulguard did because his was awsome and you seem to have a poetic aura about you.

I've always been bad at poetry, at least the rhyming kind. I get too focused on trying to make things consistent and then lose track of all the symbolism and metaphors and such.

I'm going to focus on the political nature of the Majal/Forerunner/Half-Breed society because I feel that it is what I do best. I've got to get down and dirty into the politics surrounding Fasul, as well as exploring his character and the deep wounds that have been inflicted upon his soul during the war.

Though if I do try and explore the other types of arts surrounding that era, I'd likely get Konoka to do it. She's got a good hand for writing poetry.

Edit: Oh right, yes, two Forerunner Chronicles and four regular chapters remaining. As best as I can see. Though it might become three Forerunner Chronicles, and five regular chapters. We'll just have to wait and see!

Mr. Clark, you said that you're not very good at poetry. The resources are right at your fingertips. Post something on the forums saying that you would like a voulenteer to make an epic poem about the history of the covenant according to the chapters in your FanFic. You could create a website where you would have a coordinated effort by everyone willing to participate, having the story told by many differant speaking styles, especially with the reader not knowing that the author had changed, could lead to a very intresting and desirable effect. This would also give you a group of people with some expierance for the forrunner history. I know that I would participate, I would request the time frame of when the prophets betray the Shangheli, or however you spell it, early-on when they have extended a hand of friendship to the Shangheli, and murder the one who entered the temple. My wrighting style would be sufficintally dark to tell of such an event.

Also, I would like to know if your username, Mr.Clark, is derived from the famed science fiction author Arthur C. Clarke, author of the Rendezvous with Rama series, among other things.

by the way, this is my first ever post on bungie, and hopefully not my last! just saying hi to all you vetrens out there, and announcing that I shall soon join your numbers.

Here in Finland it is called Winter break...

Oh well, I hope Clark first finishes this story before starting the History of Forerunners.
