Absent member? That's not good. So I'm a horrible liar, but there's a reason. I had to stop writing this thing for awhile. And then awhile turned into forever.

This is just one of those things that happens unfortunately. The storyline and plot have been inside of me for so long that the story is just done to me. I figured out how this thing ends over two years ago. That's insane.

I have nothing but apologies to everyone that's followed this thing since its inception, or happened to come along once it was started and I really got rolling. I am a jerk. Self-loathing comes naturally to me so I am sneering angrily whenever I see my reflection.

I understand how this feels, I've had more than my own fair share of disappointments when someone gives up on a story halfway through, or even more tragically near the end.

I could give a few more maudlin speeches about how sorry I am, but it won't change anything and also probably won't make anyone not hate me any less.

I'm focusing on my first novel effort, which is on track to be completed by the summer. Its amazing that I'm so close to completion, but at the same time I am aware how much work is still ahead of me.

Joining the internet bandwagon, I started a twitter profile in an attempt to chronicle the ending stretch of this insane long task I started six or seven years ago. Its just my name, sadly Mr. Clark was taken, I don't understand how its such an original name! This will take you there should you ever want to see what the status of the book is.

I am really grateful for everyone's kind words over the years, and even the not so kind words. You guys kept me going when I was ready to give up this crazy out-there dream, and helped me have way more confidence in myself than I've ever had. Of course, that also means if I crash and burn I will damn you all from beyond the grave forever.

Whenever this idea of mine comes out in novel form, I'll want everyone to go to their nearest bookseller and check the inside pages before the story begins. Don't bother buying the book. By the time it comes out there will be a lucrative illegal download network for novels, spearheaded by the Kindle, that evil device. Read it on there and send your hate mail.

Thanks everyone!

Thank you for at last coming out and say you are done with this fan fic. Good luck on your real novel and work that definitely should take precedent over a fun side story. From what I have read so far you seem like a great writer and im sure it will be a success.

*To Mr.Clark, Thank you for a good 4 years of reading

Same from me...

It really has been a great run. Best wishes for the future. Stay healthy and keep writing; you're damn good at it.

I can completely understand, Mr Clark. I've been writing the Halo 3 Epilogue for almost a year, but I've also been writing my own novel so I can understand how this gets in the way.
I was pleased when I finally concluded the Epilogue last week as it meant I could let go and concentrate on my novel.

I really enjoyed the Epilogue as it was a casual write and I had direct feedback from those that read it. Whereas my novel is all done and read by myself. Unfortunately that means it has a far more serious overtone as there is a lot more resting on its success.

So I can completely understand.

I'm on chapter 5 of mine at the moment, with around 18,000 words but I'm only about 10% into the story. After I've finished it I'll be sending it off to an editorial company for some honest and detailed feedback. After that, if all goes well, I'll find myself an agent that likes the manuscript. Hopefully after that it'll be published.

Dude, this is epic!!!!! I would pay you over $200 for 1 book, and I would want to buy over a million! Once this is done, you should try to get it published. You would become a FREAKING MILLIONAIRE !!!
