Check sir's fanfic.
It's one of the first chapters.
I believe it was the first.
There, Guilty Spark calls Humans 'Species 01'
I'm not sure if it is true since it's only a fanfic.

IT WASIN HALO1 ALSO! HELLO thatswhat i said. listen i belive on the level 343 GSS in halo one you are talking to him and he taalks about humans allot and -blam!- thata is where he says they are number one.(i am %90 sure of this)
And why are just underminding me so rudely like that scor? (see thats why i dont like you)

Prowlaz, first off all, I didn't not want to piss you off.
If you would have read what I said over there, then you would know that I'm merely mentioning the fact that Sir_Brilliant wrote that Guilty Spark called the Humans Species 01 in his FANFIC.
A fanfiction does not always have to be right about everything.
I just stated my opinion, I did not try to undermine you.

*throws confetti into the air*

Yay! This story has now become my highest rated story on fanfiction.net ever! 162 reviews. Wow, that's crazy. Its also the second highest reviewied story in the whole section, and the only one above it has been out for almost two years now.

Picked up Timesplitters today as well, I should be playing it online later tonight if anybody else picked it up.

That's pretty cool Mr. C. Now there's little doubt left that you are the best Halo author around. Judging from most of your reviews, almost everybody on fanfiction.net seems to like you better than Nylund and Dietz.

I finally got to read the new chapters. All I have to say is "wow". It's an amazing story. Every chapter is better then the one before it.

First off I'd just like to say that you definately have a talent for writing. On the other side though odds of bungie hiring a new writer even one as good as yourself are very slim to none. And think if you did get the job you would have to write a story according to their guidlines and it wouldnt progress the way you'd have wanted it too. Im no professional in the field or writing, editing, publishing or anything like that, but I believe what you should do is start a book, probably after you finish this fanfiction. And have it be totally original, no more fan fic, your own characters and setting and theme. Some of these you've already created such as the elites in the backround history and the elite homeworld. But you need to have a original idea. If you do succeed with something as high quality as your current work you will get it published. And I look forward to seeing your published work in the future.

PS: I used to think fanfiction was not worth the time as it didnt compare to the standards and quality of an actual novel... turns out I was wrong.

Lum is the family line name of a specific Sangheili family, meaning, Aki Forlumee and Ido Naslum are related.

That family isn't very lucky is it.

My thoughts on the grunt rebellion
It would seem that the only way the grunts would put up a fight is if their home planet was the battle feild.
They retreated to it for the rebellion and used their homefeild advantage to acctually win.
The prophets coulnt bomb from orbit because of a Forerunner installation on that planet and fear that they might ignite the atmosphere.
The modded the Arbiter armor and the armor of other species fighting at the time to adapt to the atmosphete.
But the grunts still had the advantage as they were best built for the terrain.
I will let you guys fill in the rest.

I don't hold any ill-conceived thoughts in regards to this piece of work, and Bungie liking it enough that they'd possibly think to give me rights to write the next Halo novel. I've been writing fanfiction for awhile, and I know the legalities of the process.

The thought of Bungie letting an 18 year old kid, just outside of high school, write the next line of Halo novels is too nuts for me to even consider in a wild dream like daze.

I do have my own original work that I'm writing on the side while I churn out this story, and I will be attempting to send it off to a publisher once I finish it and fine-tune the hell out of it. Won't be for awhile though, cause I seem to have a knack for making my fanfiction last for far too long at times. This story is going to be no exception (I originally only planned 15 chapters! Even my new assertation of 21 chapters is off, and will now most likely be around 25)

Hey, Mr_C, isn't it hard to write two story's at a time.

It is pretty hard, cause I don't really ever plan out anything. I keep it all in my head. So any ideas I come up with usually have to wait until I get around to writing the actual part in the chapter where I can use that idea.

Doing that is hard enough with one story, but two? I'm bound to go insane.

Glad to hear you're currently writing a novel alongside your fan fic. Unless your keeping it under wraps would you mind perhaps a few details of you're current work in progress. Needless to say it has piqued my curiosity and a small description would be nice.

Also you definately seem to know what your doing as far as legal and business aspects and aren't hoping for bungie to publish this. Although it definately has the quality and potential, but sadly the circumstances dont allow it. Seeing that you are in the real world you can definately make it in becoming an author. And who knows, if Halo is still around in the next few years say a twenty two year old published author or grad student definately has a chance at writing the next halo novel.

PS: Take your time with the chapters, dont let people rush you. It's about quality first and foremost. Thats what will get you published. Well, that or a multi-million dollar book company backing you, as well as a well experienced editor, a bit of marketing, flashy cover and we cant forget the massive media exposure. Either or, but personally I prefer quality.

The original piece of writing I'm working on now is being kept tightly under wraps, but I can release a few simple details.

It involves the theoretical event of a Second Korean War. Instead of doing a Big Picture type of novel, I'm focusing entirely on one platoon.

That's all I can really say, aside from the fact that I think its a pretty cool story.

I'll dish the goods of my real name once I've completed 'The End of a War'. I'm still not sure if I'll be keeping the pen name Mr. Clark, for when I actually become an author. I'd prefer it, since I've had the name for almost 7 years now.

For now though, I'll keep the enigma of my identity a secret.
