This is mainly just a note for those interested in Chaos Theory.
I made the startling discovery that you cannot play with your friends in ranked matches. It disables the function to send them invites, and won't let people join your game. Its not exactly a crippling development, but it is still somewhat depressing. I like playing with my friends, and for once I've suckered four of them into buying the game, so we could have all played together.
There's still unranked games, which are fine, but they just won't hold the intensity that a ranked match always seems to bring.
Also, playing with strangers in such an intimate game as splinter cell is not really appealing, since I imagine I'll always somehow be teamed up with the 11 year old that 'knows the best routes, and that I should give him all the mines, and always follow him'.
The single player campaign is amazing, and the co-op missions are incredibly fun. Play them on Extreme mode, and you'll understand what unfairness is all about in a video game.
There's a somewhat pathetic trailer for the Splinter Cell movie, which in my opinion is somewhere around the lines of having a 50/50 chance of either being really sweet, or really crappy. It all depends on the actors I'd say. George Clooney is easily my number one pick for Sam Fiscer. If he can make his voice a little more gravel like, he'd be a mirror image of him.
Anyways, right now I'd have to say its a great game, not as good as Halo 2 in my opinion, but a worthy title to own, provided your into the sneaking, and neck-breaking action this series has always been about.
All Ubisoft has to do to keep me playing this is to continually release new maps for the co-op mode. I'd play it forever if they did that.
To make this post somewhat valid, I'll casually state that work should begin on Chapter 15 around Friday, and Saturday I'll most likely have a clearer picture on when I'll be able to release the next chapter.
