Exactly, we all know now that the Prophets are good liars.

Yes in chapter 1 or 2 , not sure which one, you say that the MC has been fighting alone since Reach fell....Untrue....What about the events in FS???

I shall cut into 343 Industries Headquarters, retrieve the Halo Bible and burn any 343 Industries employee that stands in my way.

Grand Hierarch of the Covenant Elite Community!

He's also been fighting alongside Marines and ODST's in Halo 2.

Hmm, I think I've done this before.

I have rectified, personified, and electrified the whole other Spartan situation. It was healed sometime in Chapter 10, when a meeting amongst the ONI Section III members is held. Also, when you wanna talk about all the stuff I have about Chief fighting alone, its symbolic, not necessarily literal. He carries the weight of the world on his shoulders, and sooner or later he's bound to be crushed, augmentations or no augmentations.

In other news, Sin City is amazing. A really cool movie, and easily the best film this year. A word to the wise though, its violent and gory, and I mean, violent and gory. Some scenes had me a moment away from becoming squeamish.

Moving right along, Splinter Cell is still awesome. The solo play is absolutely enthalling. Sam Fisher has never been more luminescent.

I finally got to play some adversarial multiplayer. Honestly, Halo 2 has ruined Xbox Live. Nobody plays any other game, and sure in my spellbound days I thought it was all well and good. But now, its terrible. A friend and I were forced to wait for almost 45 minutes before we found a match, and the other night we waited 2 hours. That's just not right.

When that glorious moment comes around though, and you've got that full room, all four people, its like magic. Pandora Tomorrow was awesome, but Chaos Theory has stepped it up, and I love it. I just wish more people would give it a chance before writing it off as some boring dull multiplayer that only learning challenged people could enjoy because of its slow pace. Believe me, its anything but slow.

Once again I've made a large post about nothing aside from the boring things I want to rant about, so I'll try and throw something worthwhile into the mix.

Chapter 15 is going to have everybody. When I say everybody, I mean everybody. Its gonna be a barn-burner of a chapter.

Agh, I just read that last line and I can already tell I'm far too tired.

Wow, Mr_clark, I'm not used to you, talking about Chaos Theory and Sin City and nothing else....

Well, I gues I'll just join in.... or maybe not.
But is Chaos Theory so much better then Pandora Tomorrow?
I mean, the beginning of Pandora Tomorrow sucked... with all the non-lethal actions you had to perform. And the system link play was really boring, is Chaos Theory that good?

Chaos Theory is a lot better than Pandora Tomorrow, especially if you found the lack of fatal manuevers in single player and adversarial annoying. Sam's knife is awesome as well as the L trigger moves.

Running straight at a guard and smacking him in the face with an open palm strike and watching him crumple to floor is too fun to discribe with just words.

Single player is really open ended now. There isn't necessarily always a set path that you have to follow. You always have different routes you can take, and Ubi Soft Montreal really put some thought into the level design.

In regards to the story here, I'll finally get around to catching up on some of the groups later today, so if you've been waiting around on one of those groups wondering where I am, I'll finally return.

Wow, Chaos Theory is really leaving it's mark on the gaming community, but I'm not going to talk much about it for fear of getting off topic in Mr_Clarks thread.
But I gotta say, I can't wait to see Sin City, me and posse are seeing it right after work tonight. Can't wait...

And also can't wait for the next chapter

just one question to all you 'arbiters father' theoryers - how? chap 5 says the arbiters father died during the taming of the hunters, yet in chaps 13 + 14 the hunters are already there fighting with the covenant which presumably mean they've already been tamed, so how can thingywhatsits (elite dude in 14s) son be taming hunters if theyve already been tamed. unless they needed to be tamed again, perhaps they found something out about the prophets whuch caused them to rebel and the prophets ordered them killed or something - pure speculation, but perhaps something to think about.

also the dude in 14 cant be the arbiters father because the arbiters father died taming hunters as i said, not commiting suicide. but then again what if this death was one of the prophets lies? to get the arbiter to help them or something. oh what tangled webs...

btw great chapter Mr C, although the grunts dying was a shame

if any of this is old news then i apologise - i typed this up last night but when i tried to reply it wouldnt - something about a bug or something - the usual one you know.

id also like to add - since we seem to be talking games - that republic commando, while somewhat brief, rocks. by brief i mean that about 10 hrs dedicated gaming and i completed single player on medium. however, the extras are all intresting - theyre brief movies mainly - and the multiplayer, while only briefly sampled, looks so far to be pretty sweet - besides which i still wanna do single player again.

Mr. Clark said something about the Taming of the Hunters, and Kinlumee a couple pages back I think.

Posted by: Mr_Clark
My little hint in my authors notes, about Kinlumee, is important, and so is all the other not-so-subtle hints I've been giving.

I'll give you a few more. The Prophet's treachery runs far deeper than any of us can see, and the Taming of the Hunters might not be what you all think it is.

Something tells me Mr. C's got something cooked up with what happened for the Taming of the Hunters.

Mr. Clark you were right Chaos Theory is awesome. I love to grab some one and use the knife to kill them or slap them to ko them. I want to play the game on live but sorry to say I do not have fast enough internet. People will be playing Halo on live even more when the new maps come out so even less people will be on live for other games which kind of sucks. Republic Commando was an awesome game sorry to say i had to trade it in to get Chaos Theory.

Shame on you! lol.
Is Chaos Theory really that good.
I mean, I wouldn't trade my Republic Commando for Chaos Theory unless it's really good.

Awsome chapter once again. The only gripe i have is that even though it let us look into the covenants mysterious past it didn't anwser the big mystery of the prophets intent and why do they play the covenant like this if they know the truth. other then that it was excellent.

i just got chaos theory a couple of days ago and it is incredible. online play is difficult and rewarding and the single player is top notch. Favorite moment so far online is activate my camo at just the right time leting the merc run right past me and then snapping his neck. I also love choking spies to death and talking trash to them. I'm just confused about the rank system. do all matches count. and if so whats stopping the host starting 3 on 1 matches or giving his team infinite lives. My gamertag is also brutedude if you want to face me. just say your from this thread and i'll know who you are.

Sorry, my fault really, about all the Splinter Cell talk. So I'll hopefully end the discussion here, even though I'll probably just be keeping it going.

The only way to play ranked games is either by searching for a ranked game or making one on your own. The terrible, horrible thing about playing ranked games is you can't play with your friends. Your not allowed to send invites and when looking for a ranked game, it doesn't tell you who the host is, or what other people are in the room.

In actual news, Chapter 15 is going to be a huge chapter, so huge that it's going to take until next Thursday or Friday to finish. It'll be the biggest chapter yet.

Master Chief and the Arbiter will be returning in a big way.

I know Scoptank, i didn't want to sell Republic Commando but that is the only way I could get Caos Theory. It was rated such a good game that i got it. Republic Commando was fun i beat like a million times even though I only had it for a month. The new chapter sounds good Mr. Clark.

Mr. Clark can you tell how to throw some one over the railing after interigating them in Chaoa Theory?

Approach the railing with the guy you're holding facing the railing, then pull the 'R' trigger. I only recommend doing this when you know there's nothing below where your knocking the guy off, cause I've done it before, and I can tell you the other guard's suspicions are usually aroused when a guy comes falling down from the floor above, screaming his head off and slamming into the ground.

Another cool thing you can do is when you are crawling along on a pipe, if a guard is walking underneath you, just pull the 'L' trigger and Sam will snap his neck.

Hmmm, maybe video games do desensitize people to violence....

Here's the title for Chapter 15, see if you can analyze it and detect any secret hidden meanings.

Nobody Ever Said Doing Hard Time Was Easy

Some other things I've been mulling over. What do you guys think would be the most likely reaction by the rest of ONI and Section III over the supposed 'banishment' of the Elites/Hunters/Grunts from the Covenant? Are they going to believe the Arbiter? Or will they just go and send out the order that Honor Without Mercy must be destroyed?

Has anyone been wondering exactly where the Prophet of Truth's destination is? We haven't heard from him in awhile, and the last time we did the Forerunner ship was locked on a specific destination heading through Slip Space? Any idea where he's going?

If that was Gravemind who attacked and desimated the Brute fleet awhile back, where do you think he's headed?

Just a few things you guys can mull over while I get the next chapter ready for deployment.
