This is quite off-topic, or so it seems I suppose, but I'd like to ask you guys a question.

Has anyone out there read "A Brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawking?

There's a few details I need elaboration on and I was hoping that perhaps someone on these forums would have the information I need.

If you have read the book before, PM me and I'll send you my questions.

Not to be cruel here, but I need someone that completely understands the majority of theories and topics covered in here, particularily the subject on quantum physics and Einstein's theory of relativity, applied to time travel and worm holes.

Thanks.

lol, I don't think I can help you there Mr. C. Anything written by Stephen Hawking is bound to have really big words that are way past my comprehension level.

Can someone explain to me how the guy even wrote a book? He can hardly lift a finger to freaking press the buttons that he needs to talk, I'm supposed to believe he wrote a book?

Okay, just kidding. I get that he probably had someone write the book for him as he recited it out loud, but damn, imagine having that job, it must've sucked. Sitting there all day listening to his annoying-ass machine murmur on and on for months--maybe years. Wow, lol.

I shall cut into 343 Industries Headquarters, retrieve the Halo Bible and burn any 343 Industries employee that stands in my way.

Grand Hierarch of the Covenant Elite Community!

Who is Stephen Hawking? I never heard of him.

Stephen Hawking is a physicist, who specializes in the basic laws that govern the universe.

Here's a biographical site of his.

He's also perhaps one of the most intelligent men alive, though I can't recall exactly what his exact I.Q level is.

Professor Hawking has written several books about the universe, the one I mentioned above, "A Brief History of Time", and "The Universe in a Nutshell"

Both are very interesting books, but they can get confusing sometimes. Anyone heading into secondary education institutions and is planning on taking physics or some other science just might wind up having those books assigned as reading material.

What these books pertain to the world of Halo I can't say.

Edit: Well my quandaries have been answered. A big thanks goes out to salted cheese15 for his help.

Thanks for the multitude of PM's sent my way guys, but my questions were answered, and now I am slamming the door shut, that will officially end the rampant talking directed towards it.

As I predicted earlier, work on Chapter 17 has hit a few snags and bumps. Severe bumps that is. My main issue is with dialogue in this one, and the many nautical and ship references that I'm far too rusty on. I suppose for those wondering just where all the big ship battles were, this chapter will at least whet your appetite.

Oh, and while we wait, I'll give you the chapter title, which should be pretty self-explanatory.

AWESOME BIG SPACE BATTLES RULE!!!!!!
but aside from the fact the title is there, i really cant get a meaning out of it other than the MC or Arbiter will realize something about the other, or Elites seeing that they were wrong about the something or other(??????????????)

Hmm. The title brings up alot of questions. My money is on what the Chief sees when he arrives at the elites homeworld. Can't elaborate much else on the title alone so I will just have to wait for 17. Oh and quick question. Is anyone else taking there GCSE's in 3 weeks or am I the only one? TTFN.

hey Mr C do you think you could post the questions (and maybe the answers as well) since - and i hope im not the only one - im very very interested in astrophysics and all the related subjects, to the extent that i fully intend to do a degree in it, and would i be very interested in those questions and the answers thereof.

Hmmm, a release date? I'd have to say that if I did indeed give a release date it would be the absolute latest this week. We're talking like, Saturday, 11:59pm type of late.

As for my questions regarding Stephen Hawkings work, I won't post the literal questions, as they did kind of give things away a little, well not so much but I'm certain a few clever people could have put two and two together and come up with what I was getting at.

I will simply say that it dealt with time travel, wormholes, 'faster-then-light travel' and fluctuations within those areas brought on but either natural events, or pieces of technology.

Man I can't wait till Star Wars Revenge of the Sith comes out it's going to be awesome. Mr. Clark sounds like you are having a tough time writing the next chapter, but don't worry I'm sure it will be as good as the others if not better. If you need more time for don't rush it take your time I don't mind because I am getting Star Wars Revenge of the Sith for Xbox so i will be busy playing that and and I probably wont be reading your chapter Saturday any way because I am taking those SATs on Saturday which take like 5 hours and I probably will not want to sit down and read your awesome new chapter, but hey thats me. Good luck on finishing your new chapter. O bye the way physics is an interesting class but I suck at it I always get bad grades on my tests, so you should probably never want to ask me questions about it.

Physics and astrophysics always interested me, and i spent a lot of time pondering them and the phisophical implications with them.
i cant even take high school physics yet, since im only a sophomore....and my school sucks.
i was intrigued particularly by the concept of Fusion reactors(which one of is beginning creation in France, i think), and Black Holes

Physics and astrophysics

Yeah i'am not smart enough for that stuff. I'am good at Auto though. (my school sucks to)

enough of the physics already, Mr Clarks got what he needed already. and dont mention big words. just trying to spell 'supercallafregealisticexpeialladocios' (Mary Poppins) correctly is hard.

serpensium there is another in california that supposed to be done in 2008 but it has a lot of cost overruns and delays

also i do wonder about all that stuff to. i subscbe to scientific americain its a pretty good mag that has a lot of technical stuff and theorys and all that. the big articles i usualy only get half way through before i start loosing them. got most of the way threw an article about m theory(maybe a different letter) which is the theory after the string theory.
