I will always place the mission first.
I will never accept defeat.
I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.

Crakbaby she didn't die in the clone wars series she lived until the end, but i just wanted to know what happened to her, just wondering.

I was thinking the same thing Mr. Clark keep your name a secret until you finish your halo fanfic.

Hmm, it seems I've been exposed. Ah well, if I really cared that much I wouldn't have put all of it into my profile.

Anyways, just wanted to address a few things. I'm not sure if its common knowledge, but the character Gravemind speaks in iambic septameter, which is basically a poetic way of speaking with seven beats per line.

Now if you observe the conversations and instances throughout this story where Gravemind speaks, he most certainly is not speaking like this, which can be attributed to my being lazy and not having the time to format everything he says. It might be something I could do on future re-writes though, if I ever decide to revisit this story and give it a face-lift once its been completed.

As for the monitors, 343 Guilty Spark, 2401 Penitent Tangent, and 'The First' Atoning Deviant, they will play a large role in the end of the story. If you're familiar with some of the deeper inner roles of the Halo lore and speculation, than you just might guess what their actions might be.

I share pies.

Iambic septameter I've heard of that...Doesn't it need a specific amount of syllables in a sentence? like 10?
or is it words?

'Iambic' means that every other syllable is stressed (Shakespeare uses iambic pentameter a lot) and septameter means that there are 7 pairs of syllables (stressed and unstressed) in each line - bungie and their sevens, it's like a security number (like security blanket? Anyone? Yeh, you know it!)

And hey Flag - if you're looking for great and serious reading I'd highly recommend the Foundation series by Izaac Asimov - the order is Foundation, Foundation and Empire, and Second Foundation - they're unbelievably awesome! And they're sorta sci-fi, which is good if you like that sorta thing, but they're not overly so, which is also good if you don't.

What about Tom Clancy's books? Those are good ones, too.
Clear and Present Danger's my favorite.

Hmmm, favorite book? I've always liked Crime and Punishment, by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. His characters are just all so real (aside from Sonia, the prostitute with the heart of gold....*snicker*).

Moby Dick, by Herman Melville is another amazing book. There is so much allusion, foreshadowing, and symbolism used in this book to such an amazing detail that I can't help but love it.

Either one of those two would claim the top spot if I could somehow choose between them.

The Tom Clancy books I do enjoy, but they're more like books I read for fun. Classics like Moby Dick, Crime and Punishment, War and Peace, and The Art of War (I have never met a person that truly understands what Sun Tzu is really trying to convey). Classics like those I just find this really deep connection with. Mark Twain's novels as well.

In related news, Chapter 18 should be ready to post later tonight. I've got a few things to do today, but they shouldn't take up much time, provided nothing weird happens.

I've tried to read that, and keep reading without getting bored, but it's just not my type of book....
