King Kong.
Peter Jacksons newest movie. Damn it was rocking hard.
Sad end indeed, stupidpeople, and damn Ann. :'(
Now tell me Mr_C, what did you like about the bottom of the canyon, where there was little worms?
I will admit, I covered my face with my hands at that part, haha. I'm quite a coward when it comes to very disgusting and creepy things like that. Those cockroaches were terrible, and if I was Jack Driscol, I wouldn't have cared even if Jimmy shot one off my [spoiler not typed] like that, just to have them gone would be worth the sacrifice.
And Lumpy...I didn't realize it was Andy Serkis until the last possible second, I never figured he'd have two roles in the movie.
Hmm, I was also unable to watch when Ann and the T-Rex had the pendolum swing in the vines. That was too tense for me to take, and once again had to watch through the small cracks between my fingers.
*laughs* I don't know why I go see movies that have a lot of intense moments. I'm never able to handle them, and usually embarass myself a lot. I'm very much the stereotypical girl when seeing movies. I don't scream, but I have unfortunately clutched many arms in fright, regardless of who they might belong too. It makes for very uncomfortable moments.
I think I developed too big of an emotional attachment to Kong. The first time the action stilled, and I got to see his eyes for the first time, I was in love with him. Andy Serkis is an amazing man, capable of putting so much emotion into a fictional mammal.
Hmm, I think I was supposed to go to sleep. Whoops.
Edit: Oh yes, that other thing.
I was looking into the dark and unfathomable depths of my PM list, when I saw some people asking if I was going to submit something to the FanFic contest that's apparently all the rage nowadays. Granted I have no idea what they're talking about, but I figure a contest is a contest, so it shouldn't be too hard to understand.
Anyways, yes, I do have a neat idea for a small short story, only five to ten thousand words long, but I certainly don't think I'd actually write it. Someone had told me of this contest awhile ago, and that was when I was looking at the future with star-filled eyes, where I might have time to write such things.
The idea was based around a basic average kid living on Earth. Absolutely nothing special about him. He was just living his life. Of course the main draw is that the story would take place a scant few weeks/days before the initial Covenant invasion in Halo 2. I would've gone for a first-person narrative style, using mostly a simple metaphorical outlook on the ignorance and contextual setup that everyone seemed to be living their lives in the face of the truth. That truth being of course, that the Covenant were on their way to Earth, and it would only be a matter of time before everyone was dead.
A simple idea, but I like it. Of course I'm not going to write it. I have some other things that take precedence, like say, giving you guys something to read. Granted that story itself is a "something" but its not what you all want. I can know your hearts and minds, all of your desires. Okay that's a little creepy.
