Another great chapter. Its all finally starting to come together (a bit more). Great work.

On another note, would the high councillor or wateva his rank was say 'goddammit'?

I'm none too sure if some of the standard High Councilors would have said something like that, but I wanted Pondomee to be a tad more down-to-Earth, and seem like an actual commander, and not just some religious zealot.

After an hour, the PM's have been sent, and I shall now go rest, for I am very weary.

Just a side-note, but the scene with the Master Chief, the Arbiter, Cortana, and Guilty Spark was easily the most fun scene to write for this chapter.

Cortana's reaction to Guilty Spark's presence tickled me in just the right way.

The story continues to amaze. The suspense is, figurativly speaking, killing me.

Awesome, simply awesome!

I love how you’ve come up with the Hunter’s battle tactics against the Spectre. It was very cleverly thought out and written. Your usage of words lends a certain flavour to this story. I’ve always believed that a great storyteller is more than capable of telling a story so that it intrigues the reader. By telling certain sections or parts of the story slowly, building up the momentum which serves only to fascinate and not bore the reader. Then just as cleverly the most intriguing parts or even the least bits of interest are savoured as to lend the story a distinctive and appealing flow.

You’re one of them, Mr. Clark. Damn, I wish your talents were recognized by Bungie, I truly do. You are amazingly talented. Heck, I could swear I was reading the ‘official’ Del Ray novels here! Damn.

I take my hat off to you, Mr. Clark, you are Amazing.

My Eternal gratitude is at your feet.

A very nice chapter indeed Mr_Clark, some spelling errors (yes, I'm saying that as a Dutch guy....) but since you said you hated editing (I hate it too) it's alright; the quality of the chapter did not diminish.

A lot of changes of perspective in this chapter, I'm not really used to that... from you, it was kind of wierd in the beginning of the chapter, but it was cool at the same time.
I think that the Sangheili pilot (damn, I already forgot his exact name...) and him being pursued should have been longer; it was fun to read.

Well, that was all I had to say, I'm just looking forward to the next chapter, keep 'em coming.

P.S I think I have an idea of what happened to the S-III's.... but I'll keep that to myself; just imagine, if it turned out to be true... well..... just leave it......

I agree with scorptank, Mr_Clark. Another great chapter, and I can clearly see that things are going 'down hill' with this chapter. Things look to be getting rather engrossing .... and the Spartan III's really didn't last long did they. haha.

Serves Ackerson right, but now I get the feeling that something much worse is about slap humanity in the face.

Cortana's reaction to Guilty spark, as LE pointed out, was especially well done. In my head I could just hear and see, Cortana's frustration. They have such a chemistry, like the odd couple.

Excellent Mr_Clark. Keep it coming, and thanks again for the PM.

Another great chapter from the unstoppable force that is Mr Clark! Seriously though theres nothing like a new chapter to pu a smile on my face. There are more forerunner ships eh? well it makes sense. The character eranumee intrigues me and i think he has alot more to offer than just a pilot. As for Jan i feel that she, keyes and johnson might rumble ackerson. but thats for another time. Henshin-A-Go-Go-Baby!

ps. Mr clark i agree about the scene with guilty spark that was easily the funniest bit in the chapter. Keep up the good work.

“Oh yes, I was quite surprised that you would want me to leave the installation on the Ark,” Guilty Spark said suddenly. “It is against protocol to abandon a functioning installation, but I suppose I can make an exception seeing as how we’ll be arriving at another.”

Something about that last bit the monitor said clicked in John’s mind, and he looked over at the Forerunner device.

“What was that about another installation?” he asked Guilty Spark. The monitor seemed to be preoccupied however, and simply ignored the Spartan while it hummed to itself, observing the control panels and consoles that adorned the bridge.

Hmmmm..... Wonder what that means? Could it be possible that their is more than one ark? Guilty Sparks statement would seem to suggest so. Is their an Ark on the Prphets home world also? So many questions and so much time before the next chapter. Just a little something to think about. - LE

Or maybe that Monitor is just a weirdo......
We'll see in the next chapters..... I hope.....

Another great chaper Mr_Clark. Are you sure that your not frankie in discise and have access to The Book. I also downloaded all 4 maps and they are wicked awsome. So far Containment is my favorite with Turf in second. I can't wait untill they add Containment and Warlock to matchmaking and add the 2v2 play list. Once again awsome chapter.

Perhaps Guilty Spark was referring to the "worlds" as instillations. That would add a spin.

Wow, the only bad part is you've completed more chapters then you have left to write. Well, for the reader anyway! Really enjoyed this chapter. Look forward to your character developement and your promise to leave no one unscathed.

Another superb chapter Mr. Clark. Thanks for the PM, although sending me any more of them won't be necessary, since I'm quite vigilant for new chapters.

As for the S3's, I suspect they may have encountered gravemind on the way to Delta Halo.

Don't be too quick to blame the Brutes. They've been deceived much in the same way as the Elites were. Tartarus and his fleet were the only Brutes that were aware of the truth, and now they're all dead/consumed.

They just have a kind of inferiority complex, much like the ODST's. They think they're vastly superior than all others, and they like to show that. Tartarus was blind, but perhaps there are others in the Jiralhanae ranks that may be more open to discussion.

Seventh Column Contests

this has been an awsome novel so far man. Why dont u try writing a novel that involves a war but not about Halo because then u will have to get the Rights from bungie and they prob wont give it to u . Im basically saying that u should write a Novel and publish it. Once that happenes then maybe bungie will give u a chance because u will be more professional at it.

Keep up the awsome work and i really liked the part with the Hunters and the Elite burning his leg to stop the blood.
