How come hosts in a room never get any lag? When ever i host my own game, players like to complain about it. Why is it like that? Usually the host comes in first almost every time.

Hosts rarely get lag because the game is on your system. You aren't sending yourself info or receiving it. It's basically just playing a normal game on your computer, except that others are connecting to you and getting/sending info. The other gamers have to deal with your internet speed and such, but you don't. That's why it pays to host :)

Heyyo,

A big prob with ListenServers (I'm guessing you're doing a LS since you're hosting and playing the game at the same time on the same comp) is that each time your comp has extensive framerate loss, usually caused by big gunfights, other comps will also lag out.

I suggest you either crank down your graphics, or lower the playercount if this stuff occurs often. Usually a player count of 12 is good, and if your cpu's smaller than an AMD AthlonXP 3000+ or P4's 3.1GHz (equivalent) cpu then you'll wanna crank it down to 10.
