Though Humanity has left it behind for ethics reasons, I'd engineer a virulent bioharazdous pathogen with a horrendously long onset time so that they would end up infecting most of their race before it actually revealed itself.

It's nasty, sick and totally inhumane but it would work.

good idea, but what if some humans got infected with the disease by contact with infected covies in battle and took it back to Earth?

We wouldn't need to worry since covie biology is tottaly different that ours. Only one problem. The same reason it won't affect us is the same reason that it wouldn't affect all but one branch of the covenant. We would have to make a different strain for each race.

If the human race had a 0% rate of survival and MC was the only one left, I would either set off Halo and kill all the covenant with it, or release the flood on the covenant

So what if we have to make about 8 stands... It's 500 years in the future, so our scientists can do it.

yeah really it doesn't say anything about the UNSC being destroyed in First Strike, actually it says the are over a hundred heavy cruisers protecting Earth

100 heavy cruisers? Bull-blam!-. Before Reach was hit we only had 20 cruisers left and the pride of the Fleet has been hit.

Onward to how we can win this war.

As it stands now, the UNSC has no chance what so ever. The Covenant lost a 10km long station, 500 ships at that station, an anrmada at Halo, dozens of ships at Reach, and the Prophet of High Truth declares it a minor set back. If that is a minor set back then we are doomed. Now I can only see four logical outcomes(as a commander).

1. Humanity is obliterated despite putting up a good fight.

2. We retreat into deep space and live in small groups in desolated areas. It ain't much, but the species goes on.

3. We find another Halo and set it off killing both us and the Covenant.

4. We try the Spartans' original mission once more. Capture a Covenant ship of high rank and find their homeworld. Capture one of their leaders and try to get a peace treaty.

Number four is our only real option. However when we try it I'd want to send every single person we can into deep space and away from the Covenant. We'll keep running away attempting to find a new home while the rest of the UNSC does their damndest to hold off the Covenant. Otherwise all is lost.

Ima say this once.. so listen closely.

We McGuyver plasma laser turret, one for each MAC generator on earth. and then stick remaining UNSC ships in front of the orbital MAC cannons.

Assuming the Covenant get to earth before M.C. Get's back. ( E3 Movie )
Build as many MAC guns as you can. ( Orbitals ) and bring all remaining repair stations.. ( Disk-like Repair docks ) in rotation around the Orbital MAc Guns. So if one gets hit, the one rotating behind it will take the next shot. sooo the Damage is dispersed evenly.

The Halo Judges theory has one major flaw; numbers. We have the limited resources of a few planetary systems, they have the might of hundreds. I say this because to find seven inteligent species you would have to look at hundreds of inhabitable worlds. The guns would be worn down by attrition and earth would be doomed. I just want to wait and see what Bungie will do.

well there are 5 spartans left to return to earth that is why it is a 4 player co-op game and 1 other spartan with dr. hasley so they could still pull it off

Realisticly, there is 10% chance of Earth surviving the Covie. Our minor chance is that we are somehow able to discover, decipher, and use any Forerunner artifact we are able to get our hands on, and use it against the Covie. Just like that rock in First Strike that bends space and time, some might be able ot freeze things. Maybe thats how 3.4.3. was able to hold down the Flood. If all else fails, we take the artifacts and throw them at the Covie. Then we take a lot of rocks and hurtle them towards troops. Weapon fire can't pierce Hunter shields, but I'm sure a large boulder can.

-Marine-''I think we found some thing sir. It can't be, its a artifact.''
-Sgt-''Well, activate it''
--Marine touches the stone and it blows the Earth up.''
Now, the Covie never really did defeat us!
