Alright, so I'm wanting to know if there is some way I can record myself playing a game of H2vista without using FRAPS. It would be nice if we could use demos, similar to counterstrike, Quake, and Unreal Tournament. But as of yet I have not found any such existing commands or ways to record demos.

I don't want to use FRAPS in-game because if I do, my Framerate automatically gets taken down to 30. and if I take it higher, the size of the video file with fraps increases dramatically.

Halo PC, IIRC had the function for a time demo, but insofar as I know, Halo 2 Vista does not.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

Both Halos require a program such as Fraps to record a video.

Gamecam is good for recording as long as you want, but doesn't capture audio.

The best choice is of course xfire, free, has all the xfire stuff you need, so you don't have to alt-tab, and has settings for video quality.

I'll check both of those out, thanks, but do either of them record without effecting your framerate?

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Every external program records while affecting framerate.
