If you've kept up with journalism reports from E3 2004, then you know the Warthog has undergone a few gameplay changes.

1.) The thing everybody knows: it is now destructable.
2.) A roll cage effect (if the Warthog hits anything while upside-down, you won't be flung out)
3.) Snappier handling (i.e. Acceleration, TRACTION WHILE TURNING)
4.) Tougher to flip (no idea what the they meant by that)

I'm always my team's D.D., so all of these things will affect me in a big way. The whole destructable thing it like and hate. No more will I fear a lone person with a pistol, woo hoo! But whoever scratches my paint-job will face my WRATH. The roll cage addition relieves a lot of aggravation during tank engagments. Snappier handling is all-welcome in my book. In the first game, you were always vulnerable while stopping and going, since for some reason the wheels whould spin for half hour before catching. No more driving like a drunken monkey, wort wort wort. The last thing, don't know, don't care.

Anybody have any idea what #4 means?

Any concerns, facts, or bold-faced-lies anybody would like to post??

I don't know how you don't get #4 its exactly what it says it is. It's tougher to flip over. Like if you run into a rock it might not roll. and won't flip going around tight corners.

Oooookay....? But it never was easy to roll that way, except when landing at a VERY weird angle.

There were a few times in Halo where I'd be steering around something and hit an object that would cause the Warthog to kinda hop, almost flip over.

The warthog has a new balanceing frame and axles which prevent flipping by alot.

It also has a E brake now so you can still do the warthogs famous fish tails and other moves such as 360 degree turns

I don't know if many people know this, but the warthog in the first one has a brake, it's not very effective and can't really be used strategically, but if you press the "a" button, it brakes.

SB-117

I think that its harder to flip means that if you go over a hill or something when driving it wont turn over as easily like it used to.

hmm. . . the way i see it is that they meant that AFTER it is flipped that it is more dificult to flip back over. if u watch the e3 vid w0rt has a tough time flipping the ghost.
i would compare it to the banshee in halo:ce the banshee was tougher to flip than say the ghost.

No. It's been said in a couple of the hands-on articles, that it's harder to roll of your wheels. Meaning that it's harder to get it to do so, even on uneven terrain. Also, this combines with the roll cage thing, because if you do roll, theres a greater chance you'll land on your wheels and keep driving.

yeh it will just make the warthog battles faster because you wont be flipped by accidently turning on a hill and have to go through the process of flipping the hog back over and getting back in.
