Apologies in advance for wasting your time with my petty problems. But I'm going to do so anyway.

Recently re-installed windows (XP), and now Halo has strange graphic issues it didnt have before. I first noticed when I ran the game and Halo itself was missing from the main menu. After starting up single player and multiplayer games, things like doors, weapons, characters, vehicles and other players are noticable in their absence. Weapons can be picked up, vehicles can be driven but theyre all 'invisible'. Took a few screenshots if its any help...

Halo gone
NPCs missing
Just a light where a door should be

Ive tried giving Halo all the updates, re-installing it, installing SP2, and running it in compatibility mode but the problems persist. Please help!

Specs:
Windows XP Professional with SP1
AMD Athlon XP 1700+
NVIDIA GeForce 2 GTS / GeForce 2 Pro
256MB RAM

Thanks. Hopefully I'll be providing an easy kill for you all again soon.

*Double take* Did you say GeForce 2?! As in... 2?! Most GeForce 4 owners say they have problem with Halo, so I'm not at all surprised your card is struggling, regardless of driver version. A seriously recommend an upgrade. Even my onboard graphics are GeForce 3.

Heyyo,

Lol, weird! :p

I'm not sure, but I don't think that vidcard's supported, so that could be why.

Check your nvidia control thing in your display options, make sure your settings for halo are set to defaults, or just your overall grpahics settings for your vidcard are set to defaults. It's probalby set to preformance right now, which's deleting those stuff.

I'm having a slight problem with HaloPC as well. For some reason, 6 times out of 10 when I exit the game my PC restarts. I have never had any problems with my PC crashing before now and I wonder if it's the game, the new graphics card I installed for the game (ATI Radeon 9200SE 128Mb), or a combination of the two. My PC runs a P4 2Ghz processor, 512Kb RAM, 200Gb of memory with 80Gb free. The game runs very well...I never have any problems with low frame-rates even in very intense battles with multiple players.

This is not a huge deal but I am somewhat of a perfectionist and prefer my computer not to shut down unless I tell it to do so. Any words of advise?
