Thanks guys for all your support and suggestions. It Really makes it worth it.
I am planning on doing a controller on Monday to match.
As for the Green LED (lights) Idea, Have a look at my Transparent Green HALO Xbox on this page. Its in the middle after the White Xbox.
Green HALO Xbox
To answer a few questions…
“I wanted to paint mine how do you take the top off?”
-That is easy, 6 screws under the Xbox. 4 under the pads and two under the stickers.
ANY Modification like this will instantly VOID your warranty. Before you go trying it… remember that. ;)
“Roughly how many hours did that take. And What supplies did u use. Not planning on building one, just wondering”
-All together it took around 10 to 15 hours. I used automotive paint. 4 shades of blue, one shade of purple, a primer coat and a clear coat. I also used 20 blue LEDs (lights) and 4 purple LEDS. You cant see the purple LEDS do to the fact that a digital camera wont pick up that color of light. You also cant tell that the eject light is purple. Later, perhaps tomorrow, I will post a link to all the pics I took while making this.
“kinda dont like them (the designs) they distract the eye from the Halo2 logo”
I agree with most comments about the designs on top. They can be changed, but for this Xbox they are staying. IF I even do another one I know for a fact it will be better. I could do the sword Idea as designs, or something else. The more detailed the design the longer it takes to cut and sand.
Well, again, thank you for your feedback. I will have an updated pic of the controller and the Xbox with the finishing touches on it tomorrow.
