Does anyone know if we will be able to have guest on our box and account to play Halo 2? Or are we gonna have to play others alone on our own box and account like most games now? Also, will xbconnect still be available if that is the case?

On Xbox live, I highly doubt you will be able to have a guest, for the fact of too much bandwidth going in and out of your Xbox. A normal DSL connection wouldn't be able to handle that much info.

Though on Xbox Connect, you will be able to do it, because it treats Halo 2 as it's on a Local Area Network, or LAN. You can have multiple people on a box at once in LAN, but not in online.

edit: Logical enough?

With it being built for the internet, and how it's supose to be the pinnacle of xbox live, i think you can have 4 people on one connection.

Somewhat, however xbconnect is a tunneling service and does not run nearly as efficient or effective as Live for many reasons. Having a 16 player game w/ 4 on each box has to slow it down but not nearly as bad as 16 players, each on their own box.

What I'm saying is, is that if Live allowed you to have quest it would be better for everyone regarding the connection and playing w/ friends but I think they don't allow it currently b/c they want everyone to be Live subscribers so your guest don't play for free in other words, even though it would be better on the connections to play w/ guest.

They want MONEY!! With that in mind do you think they will change the current rules and allow guest (up to 4 hopefully).

Ten cool things about Halo 2 that may not be found in other articles. (Why post a summary when everyone else has?)

(This is from memory, some words may be wrong but the main idea of the statements are correct. Also, things will probably change by 11.09.04.)

1) The glass has it's own physics your body flying into it will break it, except it doesn't all break as one, it will only break in the spot that you hit.

2) Four player split-screen is still in. You can play 4 people with one Xbox Live name - the 3 others will be guests if they don't have live accounts and all 4 players can have their own headsets.

3) If the host happens to leave over XBL the hosting goes to another client in-game till the game is over (or maybe till that person leaves, that part wasn't clear.)

4) This was confirmed and denied, so take this one with a grain of salt but supposedly Halo 2 supports Widescreen.

5) Sketch showed us in Zanzibar there are windows in the top base and if you shoot out the supports for the wooden over-hangs - they will flap down and cover the window hole. Providing cover, and if you walk into the wood it will push out so you can look out the window, shoot, come back in for cover - then poke out again, if you desire.

6) I thought it was cool that you couldn't carry the flag as a driver of vehicles. You can be driven but you can't drive. It created a much more frantic atmosphere where team work was key, "cover me!" "Help him get the flag!" Were phrases sure to be heard.

7) You can see your legs and parts of your torso. It may not seem cool to read, but it's amazing when you are playing. When you are an elite you can see your knee's when you jump (they have that different kind of jump.) It's pretty sharp.

8) Master Chief HUD is blue, Covenant HUD is a purplish color. I played as both Elite and MC and I didn't notice a difference between them. It seemed balanced to me, others said the Elite jumped higher and in articles online I read that they thought MC jumped higher so I don't know what's right and wrong.

9) The death animations don't seem as predictable. In Halo 1 you have a bunch of animations for different things I died many ways and never did it seem the same. Once, I got hit with a rocket, while in a ghost, while I was next to these explosive barrel-type things and my ghost exploded incredibly violently - my body went twirling into the air, literally as if someone put a peg in his torso and spun them as if on a "Wheel of Fortune" type table. My arms and legs flapped - as realistic as my mind could envision it, there also was no tearing type appearance in the models. It was incredibly clean looking.

10) The sniper scope, the actual scope, is different. It's pretty cool looking, it doesn't do that graphical animation on back. It's nice though, supposedly it's more forgiving. I died wheneer I found it. The shotgun is cool looking too, probably one of my favorite weapons. It looks very similar at the end where the aiming marks are but when you get closer to the stock it's a different design.

It's amazing, it's hard to describe and it's coming out. I can't wait! Here are some pictures of the figures shown by JoyRide and I thank everyone who made that Fanfest possible. It was so much fun and hopefully I will make it a point to attend from now on.

Found here.

So, basically, if you can have four players on one TV all playing over Xbox Live, if all four of your friends also have Xbox Live, can they all log into their Xbox Live accounts but still all be playing together on the same Xbox? Or will they all just be "guests" ??
