I have to say, neither game. In halo CE, you can either go with the shotty for close combat, or with the pistol to hit there weak spot (yes, the flood have a weak spot), or both, then, however, you would have to deal with the popcorn.
Halo 2, they still have that weak spot, but they are tough, more aggressive, on close combat, I had some joy, using the sword to vaporize there bodies, or simply give the sword to an ally, and go with the carbine, the carrier forms, however, lost that cool "pop" they made when they explode.
Anyway, the greatest loss from Halo 2 was the Flood Juggernaut. (likely the first pure form)
yea, it apparantly was tough to kill, but if they got the better of you, simply throw a sticky.
Halo 2 flood showed extreme accuracy with the damn rocket launcher, (thanks to the lock on) Halo CE flood didn't have lock on, but they are accurate. (although it is funny when they shoot at a nearby wall, killing themselves in the process.
In any case, both floods in the game are ok, the Halo CE ones are everywhere, and there swarms (or floods) can easily overwhelm you in higher difficulties, same goes for Halo 2, although you are often given the chance to be well equiped with either a tank or a sniper for the onslaught.
