I know halo 2 is going to bring a bunch of new features to xbox live, but i was just thinking today wouldn't it be tight if there was an option to play music from your harddrive that you copied on to everyone in the multiplayer game. I know people dont all like Hip hop like i do and i dont dig country, but if there was a way to randomly choose a song that you specified to let everyone listen to online. Like it would randomly choose the song and the xbox its playing from the person in the game, and when the song is over it can switch to a different person.

Just a random thought to think of

The prospect of custom soundtracks is an awesome idea, but it really wouldn't fit in with a game like Halo. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to take out a troop of Elites with Metallica's "Seek And Destroy" blasting in the background. But if you were involved in a real life war, there wouldn't be any music playing, other than what you might be thinking about in your head.

The whole thing that makes Halo's atmosphere work is that you could be up in a sniper spot waiting for some poor schmo to peek his head out so you can give him another hole in his head and the only thing you hear is the sounds of nature and maybe a nearby firefight. But that's the beauty of it all, is that you don't have any synthetic sounds piped in to distract you from trying to decipher if that noise you just heard was you shifting your weight or the sounds of footsteps on the ground behind you.
