Well, I have to agree that I have never, ever noticed any difference in Halo as a result of one of the patches, apart from 1.05 disabling the auto-patch update. Considering there have been 6 patches sicne Halo's release, or rather, 4, since 2 were made before Halo PC was actually released, you'd think there would be a huge long list of bugs, glithces and fixes, aswell as maps and extras which most other games gain from patching. Seriously though, if you gave me a retail copy of Halo and a 1.06 copy of Halo, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Graphics haven't changed, interface hasn't changed, content hasn't changed. To ask your consumer to patch a game 6 times for no apparent reason is a little extreme. For example, Homeworld 2. Only ever had one patch, which sorted out several pages worth of user-feedback on glitches, all of which were fixed, and they threw in some new multiplayer maps as a bonus. That's what a patch should be.
