I love bees was a marketing scam by microsoft to promote a demo coming out, but when everyone figured out it was a demo before they were supposed to microsoft dropped the whole thing so the people who owned the website kept updating it with verbal logs that had nothing to do with anything, just a story, then people bsed having talked to people on phones to get people to go to the phones, and screwed everyone, including the media, into drawing this out into one huge publicity stunt screaming HALO 2 IS GOING TO BE AWESOME, and it was

Step one go to Ilovebees.com
Step two go to mission log
Step three listen to all those audio files.
Basically its a little backstory to halo 2.

We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

The story in there is awesome. I would highly recommend listening to it if you haven't.

Wrong it was so people who figured out the story got to play halo 2 day before it came out on movie theatre screens.

Apparently it was a alternate reality game about Halo 2, also serving as a marketing ploy(?)

If it was to sell the game, I saw it as completely pointless. All of the little kids/non-hardcore halo fans (making up a lot of who bought the game) didn't even know what I love bees was, and the people who did already probably knew a lot about Halo 2 and were going to buy it anyways.
