i've been making a few movies of halo, kinda like red vs. blue only done with halo PC/CE, and i kept geting the fealing that my computer was geting slower each day, then i went to defragment my disk space and in the report i saw the halo clips i recorede with fraps, a singal 1 min file took up 2 MB!!!!!! so i just about drained 40% of the memory i had in a week on fraps alone! thank god i was using the trile.
anyways, dose anyone know somthing like fraps that wont suck nearly as much memory?

Before I got my new gaming-only computer that has a single WD Raptor, I had a 60GB hard drive that stored apps, and then a 200GB one that stored only music, movies, pictures, etc. It's better that way. You clog the other hard drive with media while the other stays clean with just games and stuff.

When I bought my PC it said it had 200 GB HD but it only has 185 GB (including the other HD which is only 5.something GB)

Heyyo,

!@#$RER#@ well I'm having a crappy day... stupid test, and damn that student loan to hell slowing me down, now I can't get my study pace back up, and I just found out I'm 1 month behind now...

well, at least I can help you out...

Fraps records things UNCOMPRESSED to lower the cpu usage, and allow more framerate recordings. After recordin' vids with fraps, you need to compress them. Try stuff like TMPenc, or whatever is your fav movie compressor. If you can, try Final Cut pro, then use the divx encoder plugin for it, it'll reduce the sizes quite massively.
