I have a hard time paying 800 points for new content for Fallout 3, probably the best game of all time. So why would i pay 800 points for a crap game like halo?

I am the mapmaker for my squad, Team KATZ, And I love the ideas that are suggested here. if bungie could implement even the new design tools that you stated, like the 90 degree snap, resize, copy and undo buttons, It would save me alot of time and would allow for better maps. also, i suggest having a snap to part button so you could make straighter walls.
Also, computer controled Ai is NOT impossable, games like Splinter cell Double Agent have computer controled bots for the mercs online and, while predictable, they add a whole new element to the game. I understand that it would be difficult, but not impossable, not even close

I think what bungie was saying about the AI being impossible is it would be extremely hard beyond belief to get their AI in games since their AI are so complex and also have there be a manage-able lag.

  • 03.08.2009 7:26 AM PDT

Beware the smiley face! =D

I would say yes to every single one.

Although I would LOVE a flyable Pelican as well as the troop hog and anti air wraith ect.

Also, they should have living AI's that help you depending on whether you are Elite or Spartan (Forgeable. And once they die in a game, they dont respawn.)

Beware the smiley face! =D

Also, it would be SO cool to be able to put skulls on the map.

  • 03.08.2009 7:30 AM PDT

I would pay 4,000,000,000,000 Microsoft points!
Just kiding, but i would pay 800 :)

  • 03.08.2009 7:33 AM PDT

We have no Mercy
We shall show no Fear
We do not boast our Strength
We have Honour
We are the Elites!!!

I think this would be a great Idea, not only would we pay only 800-2000 (lol) microsoft points, bungie would make alot of money from almost everyone who can buy them, buying them.(confused yet?)

i completely agree i would pay 800 just for the troop warthog and the vehicle skins and the 90 degree snap. =]

  • 03.08.2009 8:04 AM PDT

I'd pay 1600 Points max for all of this. And being aloud to have a Private Match with bots would be sweet too.

  • 03.08.2009 8:06 AM PDT

pfffffft, I would buy this update no matter what the price is.

  • 03.08.2009 8:08 AM PDT

Yes. 89% say yes and only 11 % say no.

Can you believe it?

Yes.

  • 03.08.2009 8:30 AM PDT

I'd pay 800 MP just for the 'No-Collision' Tool. I'd happily pay 2 to 3 thousand points for even an incomplete version of this suggested update. Bungie should make one last effort on Halo 3 in doing this to extend the game's life by a long time. Forge is just too fiddly for any casual gamer to easily make their imagination reality - it'd be a wise move to make this update. Think of the vast number of maps that'd be produced afterwards - people would have the time and inclination to make maps never even attempted before.

A petition!
