Did anyone ever play Timesplitters on PS2?
Thats has a fantastic map creation feature, you basically chose the shape of your map by placing shapes together and linking them with doors. Some of the shapes were open ended so you could put them together easily, then placed items in it, it was awesome. Then you applied a theme and viola!, any shape map with multiple levels. You could even chose lighting options and where to place lights etc
It confuses me as to why bungie gave us Foundry when a Forge similar to but much more detailed than Timesplitters map feature would rule all.
Also, the Geomod technology that featured in Red Faction was awesome. If that could be incorporated with this Timesplitters feature then you could creat hidden rooms that are only accesible by blowing holes in the walls.
