Its definetely worth it

im from england big wup! i also have a can of awsome sauce you want some? you cant coz it requires an awsome can opener which haznt bin invented yet!

yeah thats the special forge that the bungie proggramers use its like forge but you have to use code i think and i dont think its entirely forge, i think they sparkify there maps mostly (sparkify means adjusting the origanal mesh modal of the map where tno game physics or maybe the game its self is involved).

If we were to add all this, (which I 100% support) wouldn't we have to increase the budget on each map?

Just a suggestion. But other than that, I love the idea.

I would like to see AI's in forge so that i can make a survival mode.

AI's are possible in halo 3's custom games, in the video that had the first view of sandbox they had AI's that attacked and moved around.

NEVER go full retard... seriously, it might help

Yes! But they'd have to overhaul every single map for that... so it's not happening...

Yes I would but this seems like something that would be better if you could do it on the computer. Maybe if they gave you a map editing program for ODST it would work well.

  • 04.01.2009 6:38 PM PDT

Bungie, you have to consider at least some of these points. These are some of the best ideas I've heard in a long time, and I agree with froman. I'd pay 3000 points for that. I know you're busy with ODST, but with all the free time after, consider this because it would be the best thing IMO for forge EVER! Sondbox cannot compare (and I know. I have it.)

Plus, maybe add the ability to change the color of the custom powerup.

  • 04.01.2009 6:41 PM PDT

Yes this would be a great update but just think about it all the new buttons, i get mixed up with the normal buttons for forge, just think about it there is about 1 option per button and your adding about 30 more how confusing would that be. No offense great additions good work but be very confusing.

Hmmm maybe if Bungie reads this thread then i can see the huge possibilitys that it will be a whole new console version of Garry's Mod oh i'm lovin it.

Yeah I would do even if i have to pey $20 to get more MS points. I think you need to be able to but in living creatures. Not to kill you but just things like grunts that stand there and will look around.

So my awnser is Yes i think bungie should make the update...

  • 04.08.2009 3:18 PM PDT

I am a whisper on the wind...

I love to forge (even though I suck at it) and would definatly pay 1600 points or more for all of those options.

  • 04.08.2009 3:23 PM PDT

Those would quite obviously be worth the price (I personally have always found Forge somewhat lacking to other map editors in other games). Another addition that I would suggest would be having all/nearly all of the scenery items be allowed in every map, not one specific set for one map. It has annoyed me to no end on sandbox-don't get me wrong, I really like sandbox-with only have basic block shapes (blocks, ramps, columns etc.) and not having the basic stairs/containers/modern "junk" etc.

Dr. Gelato, MD.

"If only, if only" The Woodpecker sighed...

God, this would make forge SO much easier to use and work with...

Although, I highly doubt that Bungie will slap those in with ODST. But that's just me.

This should happen. I hate it when I take ages to position everything in just the right place and accidentally press the wrong button and it deletes one object and messes up everything else and then it takes me ages to get it right again!

This thread has 110 pages of replies and 6802 people have answered the poll, the majority of which saying the would like (and would be willing to pay a reasonable amount for) a forge update similar to this. Why hasn't Bungie replied to this yet?!? Unless, they're secretly making it now...(but I don't think so)

  • 04.08.2009 4:52 PM PDT

Halo:Reach is awesome!

Thank you bungie!

Well yeah that would be cool but hard for bungie

Hell i'd pay for that - Ubisoft did it with Farcry 2, but halo would be even better with it.

He'd have instantly stopped and knelt down, one fist on the ground, hoping to be impervious to the officer's attacks. When this would have failed and he's in the back of the police car, he'd blame his predicament on his friends for not being team players.
Bungie's new game: Particle

I'd also like to see an outdoor, no-ceiling, large-map version of Foundry.

Bungie is listening.
