With ODST being a disk, who knows what updates they could make!

  • 04.29.2009 1:58 PM PDT

Agreed

yes, forge is too difficult wen ur trying to get things the way u want them

  • 04.29.2009 2:00 PM PDT

the copy/paste tool plus the rotation tool would be amazingly time saving

  • 04.29.2009 2:00 PM PDT

i would pay way more than 800 points.
i think these are great ideas and it would make custom games amazing.
if this did happen it would be cool to have a playlist in matchmaking devoted to maps with these type of things included in them. (maps made by bungie members of course).
bungie should really consider this.

Love your ideas, and hell YES I'd pay 800 points for that update. I've always wanted a mounted missile pod turret on Valhalla. Always, always...

Anyway, I'm going to branch away here and say that it is possible to program this. But probably not so late in the making of ODST. Maybe a future update.

Twitter.
WyIdfyre: 'lol, who the hell would even wear those?'
AuSam: 'lol, who the hell would even have sex with dogs?'

-K-

I would pay 2100 as it would be as big as shivering isles is for Oblivion, it would take a lot of work too,
I would say think about it more as a new thing on Halo 4 (if its made) or simply a stand alone Halo map creator.

  • 04.30.2009 9:45 AM PDT

Everything except the AI players part.I would be willing to pay.

  • 05.03.2009 9:34 PM PDT

Not sure if this has been posted before, but one thing that some other tools have (UnrealEdit, Radiant, etc) is the ability to draw out a large box shape, and then fill it with entities.

This could carry over to forge in that you would draw a large box, select what you want to fill it with, and it would be filled with that. So you could make a large platform of floor tiles, for example.

There would have to be obvious forge constraints, like the item limits and whatnot, but it could make making long walls extraordinarily easy.

Also, the forge controls shouldn't be so goddamn difficult to use. If i can draw a cube using a graphing calculator which doesn't have analog input, i should be able to do it with the 360 controller.

Kick's ass in halo with his girlfriend... if she's not kicking mine ingame or using my acc T.T

This update about Terrain editing makes it look like Far Cry 2's map editor which would be impossible for Halo. Closest you can ask for is placeable Terrain such as cliffs

Ever play a game called Sim City? It had a great simple to use terrain editor.

Terrain mode could look like this (sorry if im stepping on someone else's toes)

You have a cursor. X is raise the terrain below, B is lower. Y is level an area (you drag out the pattern, and it averages the height) and A could add water or something similar.

You could use the left and right triggers to adjust the size of the crosshair, so you could make bigger areas or smaller.

RIP Halo 3 <3

Yeah I would love the idea,& I think what Foman asked was a type of map everyone has wanted.Plus most the things in this aren't in Forge for the reasons:This is how Bungie makes the map so it would be useless for them to make a map because if you froged it with this stuff it could be a completly different map,It would aslo ruin the purpose off having different maps instead we would have millions of maps made off of one single map,& this realy wouldn't be forge anymore this would be a map creator.

This is just my straight thought out opinion of this thread question.

Yes I finished that and simcity2000 as well as Oni and other bungie games...

The way Halo3 looks made, bungie creates the maps before hand because of the gamecode and also because of cheaters messing up the games with glitches etc

"Bet you can't stick it." - Cortana
