Also, A No-Clip option, So you dont have to glitch objects to Merge them together/Into walls, floors etc.

If they had all that. YES

This is a flame on the topic. I apologize for any offense. Just pointing out all flaws, but I wish you luck on your quest for a new forge. Even though it's unlikely.

- Gaurdians (spawn them and size them like a koth hill or a respawn area) - Can't do, would have to release a whole new disc for, those "Guardians" would have to be new models which aren't installed in the game and having them indestructable would also be an issue. Putting them in all levels would make the maps look retarded and as if Bungie is trying to HIDE something. Which they aren't.
- A "Delete All Items" button - Good idea, but a major issue is the fact it is known that it could cause many glitches as to overloading the map.
- 90 degree snap button - Great idea, but not that smart mainly because it could cause instant lag, or if someone is stand next to it, they could either go through a wall and get out the map, or go through the ground and die. Etc.
- An Undo button (don't you hate when you delete something on accident?) - Great idea, but all the buttons are already in use.
- Openable and closable doors/gates (like the ones on standoff, but closable) Good idea, but having a guy spam open/close over and over would make the map lag like a mofo to everyone and would eventually overload the map.
- Destructable Walls (like a wall from foundry, but it would crack and eventually break when damaged like a barrier) - Great idea, let's do this. Oh wait... you'd have to resend out the copies of halo because you would have to put in more models of the broken walls. This would really cause more work for the texture designers.
- Trees - Trees? Let's put trees in foundry. In the pit, in narrows, sandtrap, blackout, construct, snowbound, avalanche, cold storage, epitaph, guardian, and rats nest. the only maps they would even slightly work on is valhalla, standoff, last resort, high ground, isolation and ghost town. Of course, they'd have to release a new game because the forge records of the trees are not installed into the original game, meaning if they wanted to, they couldnt give you trees. sorry guys.
- Dead characters such as marines, elites, brutes, etc. - Dead corpses would require model recreation and reissuing of the game. Meaning, new entries and models for forge. Requires a new GAME. They would disappear anyways over time... like if you hit the body once.
- Wrecked Pelicans and Phantoms (maybe like 1 per map) - you would have to have invisible barriers to show the wreckage around it, and it would have to be movable and spreadable which would require LOTS of work and could cause many glitches and through-the-map errors. Meaning, you could walk over these invisible barriers, so if you through a grenade at the blown up phantom and a piece lands on top of a say.... hornet. that hornet would be able to fly high into the air, causing the invisible barrier to increasingly spread, making you walk on air if you wanted to.
- The ability to change the time of day (an object very similar to a filter) - no flaws. congrats on your first.
- Ladders - did you see how the spartans and elites climb in tsavo highway the campaign level? you look stupid and it'd make the game look stupid. would require a newly leased game to fix the models.
- Shade Turrets - no flaws, maybe bungie will someday use.
- Jackal Sniper Towers - no flaws, maybe bungie will someday use.
- AA Wraiths - no point, same as the regular basically. Waste of bungie's time.
- Troop Warthogs - No point. Seriously. Just go on the pit and look at the ones outside the map if you want to see them.
- Choice of skin on vehicles (iced or normal) - requires a new feature, which would require a new forge or interface section, which only available through a new game.
- Choice of color for containers on maps like Avalanche, Blackout, Rats Nest... - wtf? containers?
- A second custom powerup (edit it seperatly from the main yellow one) - no point, they won't do it.
- Red and Blue banners for marking the red and blue sides of maps - why? you're just stupid if you don't know where to go.
- More signs than just A and B - maybe, but then again that was only for a map where you can forge anything on the map.
- Non - detachable machine gun turrets + plasma cannons - its called warthogs.
- Sizable Filters - [b]say whaaaa
- Breakable glass windows (remember the ones on good old fashioned Zanzibar?) new models, which would require the new updated version of the old maps which would be too much for them. no. go break a windshield.
- Floors/larger walls - grow up. rofl.
- Roads for racing maps - heres a road, tsavo highway!
- A "Position Lock" button which would allow you to make sure an object could not move - wow. new interface. new game.
- "Forge Glue" - seriously? new installation and blah blah blah too much work.
- A button making objects float (instead of glitching stuff to float) OH YEAH. LETS PUT A WARTHOG HIGHEST IN THE SKY ON SANDTRAP. LETS TRY AND GET IT! QUICK, LAUNCH ROCKS AT IT!
- Snowmen on snow covered maps for laughs (not default placed, just forgable) - pointless. you have soccer balls. have fun.
- Some sort of weather modifier (again, an object similar to a filter) - meow.
Oh gee, thanks for minding my warning at the beginning of this thread and NOT SPAMMING. Oh wait, thats right, you did. I admit I found some comic relief in your post, but the rest was pointless. If you're not going to post anything positive, DON'T POST AT ALL.

The only thing your forgeting is an update forge arsenel on the original Halo 3 maps. It would be great to have a wall to use on High Ground or Double Boxes on Sandtrap.

And by the way...loved the dead people idea in your suggestions. Makes infection feel more...terrifing.

- Trees
- Ladders
- Shade Turrets
- Jackal Sniper Towers
- AA Wraiths
- Troop Warthogs
- Choice of skin on vehicles (iced or normal)
- Choice of color for containers on maps like Avalanche, Blackout, Rats Nest...
- Non - detachable machine gun turrets + plasma cannons
Trees:
There is no need to have anymore trees than there already is, it would only cause confusion and less killing.

Ladders:
Ladders are not used at all in the Campaign or in any Multiplayer map so why would we have ladders in the game. Plus, we have grav lifts.

Shade Turrets:
Too powerfull. They could only be destroyed be a speeding vehicle, Splaser, Rockets, Missile pod, or Gravity Hammer. The person in the turret could only be killed from the side.

Jackal Sniper Towers:
They take up too much room, barely give a height advantage, and are wide open except for the destructible beams on it.

AA Wraiths:
Wayyyy too powerful. This combined with a turret guy would be like having the Campaign version of the Hornet on Avalanche. It would kill someone within seconds and the only way to take it out would be with Rockets, Splaser, another Wraith, or by a Hornet circling above.

Troop Warthogs:
These would be pointless because it is just a multi-kill waiting to happen. Good if you are not in one, bad if you are.

Choice of skin on vehicles (iced or normal):
This would be cool and all but the iced skin color would only be good for and look good on Snowbound and Avalanche.

Choice of color for containers on maps like Avalanche, Blackout, Rats Nest...:
I don't see a point in having the ability to choose between red, green, and blue.

Non - detachable machine gun turrets + plasma cannons:
That would just be slaughter if one team gets control of them. You wouldn't be able to get near them so you would have to have your whole team stay back while someone tries to laser or snipe them.

Other than these things, if Bungie was actually going to release an update like this if they could, than yes I would pay for it, just not that much. Maybe like 300 points would be a better deal because it isn't a whole new set of maps.

I agree with you on most things although I found a couple of issues.

Shades
- I think that while the Shade is powerful, having a single one would be a very nice addition for a swarm style infection map.

Ladders
-I think while ladders are rarely used and grav lifts can take their place, grav lifts do not always take you to the desired location, while having a ladder will only get you to one spot. Also having something like ladder and ladder, long would be nice because with grav lifts you have to do the stair thing, which is not very desireable. Plus, how cool would it be to see ten zombies climbing up the wall of a fort.

Troop Warthogs
-Although Troop Warthogs may be pointless, I think that they would actually be a nice addition to some custom maps. They would allow much less camping at a spawn with a Warthog turret. It would allow the driver to actually depend on splattering skills and there would actually be a use for the passenger's seat aside from transporting the flag carrier.

Mounted Turrets
-I would actually be very grateful for this. In some maps the turrets just aren't supposed to be moved, and when someone who has no idea what they are doing comes along and detaches the turret, it can get really annoying.

Overall Update
-As for the 300 points, it would have to be a whole new set of maps. Because Forge is a feature on the disc originally, an update this big would almost certainly be the same as the armor perms. I suggest releasing a new larger Foundry style map along with these Forge features for around 600 to 1200 points. Although it would be a big price, an update this huge would allow tons of new things and could be implemented into the Mythic map pack. As for how realistic the chances of this happening are small, in the newest Weekly Update Bungie stated that there were disscussions for a new Foundry style map. Concluding that this new Foundry map would be different from the original, it would most likley include new objects, and if it really is a complete sandbox map, it would likely include new features.

For those of you who say that it should have already been in the game, suck it up. The fact that Halo 3 has Forge has already revolutionized custom content. Maybe Halo should have shipped with the things but it didn't. I already love the game so I think it shipped with just what it needed to. I'm just glad that Bungie is so nice to their fanbase by giving update to the game in the first place.
