Awesome ideas. I like most all of them. I would LOVE to see some scenery objects: Trees, shrubberies, etc. Most things that are incredibly difficult, are incredibly worth doing. This is one of those things. It will open a new era in map editing.
To those of you who say this will ruin forge, and that it is a map editor/modifier, not a map creator, I say there is a large gray area inbetween the too. Arguably, a map creator allows you to completely change maps, such as edit land elevations. Making forge even more user friendly doesn't make it a map creator. Neither does allowing new items to allow for further editing.
Actually, one could argue that Forge is becoming more and more a map creator. Not in the professional sense of course, but with levels like foundry already out, and rumors of even more "forge fantasy" maps coming out, why not? Back when Halo 3 came out, maybe it was a map editor, but now it has evolved. Have you seen some of the things the hard-working population of Halo 3 has put out? We've made entire game types, and maps to go with them, we've made racetracks that don't even touch the ground of the maps they're made on. So, if you argue that H3 Forge Mode is a map editor, I say, you are wrong fine sir/lady. It is very much a map creator.
Sorry for the long post, I realize most of it won't be read, but when I read that lame argument that forge isn't this or forge isn't that, I get frustrated, because Forge is only limited by what you name it and, of course, the items that you are able to add to it.
ONE thing that I would love to see changed in forge is the number limit on objects that you can spawn in maps. Why can I only spawn 22 Boxes when I still have 500 some-odd dollars left. Why can't I spawn as many boxes as I have money? Maybe there is a simple answer concerning the abilities of the game engine or something, but I would love to know the answer. You have no idea how many map ideas have failed because of not enough of one item.
