There are some very good ideas included in that ( I love the idea of destroyed pelicans or phantoms and shade turrets would be fun as well). Pretty much every idea categorized as a "New Forge Object" is good and "Delete everything or delete weapons or delete..." options would make clearing the map a whole lot easier. Some ideas like the "X, Y, Z axis" would be stretching it and would take the simplicity out of forging.
With some of the ideas stated in "New Forge Features" like "changing dimesons of permanent objects" takes away from the point. With the update of sandbox you now have that ability. But if every suggestion was complied with by Bungie then we are pretty much making up our own maps from scratch... To do that requires complicated software. Changing time of day is not bad. But spray painting blood is different. All those tools overload the controls on the xbox controller (you could have a seperate menu for them). It seems as Bungie wants to keep the forging tools simplistic, with all these updates better quality maps could be made but there would be fewer maps made because of all the different things you would have to do.
Most all of the features I disagree with (perticualy "X,Y,Z axis") but all of the new objects would be great espically vegetation. The new objects would open up broader oppuritunites to the forge as did the addition of the map Foundry and Sandbox. Those maps allowed the player to make great new things all it did was add new objects.
I'm sure that when Halo 3: ODST comes Bungie will include new items in the Forge which will ensure great maps are made.
