Insanity. I am. You are. Everyone is. Are you?

i was sold at the terrain editor =P

I would love to see al of that stuff. I cant tell you how many times I wish I had a lot of those tools as I build my map. It would make it better, and we could make maps faster, which means more maps made in the same amount of time.

If we had half of that stuff, I think we could have user created maps that make the stock maps not even worth playing anymore.

Look, a half monkey half pony monster!

I'm glad to sere this thread is still going!

I voted no it's not worth it not because I'm cheap, but because It's not worth it for Bungie. It would require too much effort to change the built in forge system when they could make new maps and get the same amount of money.

This forge update wouldn't be REQUIRED to play games, but maps are.

I think it would be cool to be able to set up a grunt army on sand box and have to survive against them with friends for as long as u can.

even without that i would buy that and i dont even forge.

yes! and they need to put in the SCARAB BEAMS! from halo 2. I'd love to make a custom game where one person is a scarab with lots of health with a scarab beam an the other people have to kill it. all the other stuff up there are great ideas too.

In a world of cats and dogs, only dragons will prevail!

These additions would be spectacular! They would give liberties similar to Garry's Mod. Hopefully, the technical barriers needed to make these changes are too staggering. The biggest problem would be balancing players' freedom of creativity with the 360's limitations.

For instance, if they gave us a terrain and texture editor, people could easily make maps that bog down the 360.

But, yes. I would pay 800 points for that wonder and beauty!!!

  • 07.08.2009 9:27 AM PDT

the wether filters would be sick, and being ablle to put new items on old maps like sandbox items on sandtrap or filters on old maps, so ide toataly pay

  • 07.08.2009 9:31 AM PDT

what about the abilty to put a ground surface covering sandbox's sky bubble without using items or budget. That way you could make a avalache sized map and also the abilty to cange the surface type (flood, grass, metal, water, sand, ect...)(I really want to make a flood map

  • 07.08.2009 10:52 AM PDT

I would but BUNGIE wouldn't do this. "It"s to far into the coding" or something like that.

  • 07.08.2009 11:42 AM PDT

Yes i would definatly buy that update i mean then you could have so diverse and crazy maps. IT would be so much easier! Also it would be nice if they had a theater update..... But thats not what this thread it about

  • 07.08.2009 12:45 PM PDT

Some day I sell DNA.

It couldbe alot better if they just put this in Halo: Reach. It's much easier than adding code into an existing game, which can be error-prone.

Bring The Rain

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • 07.08.2009 12:48 PM PDT

  • 07.08.2009 12:55 PM PDT

This is perfect. But, I would say no for the poll. Bungie would probably remove a few of the tools if they even considered the update. Like the terrain editor, which could probably make an oldschool map like guardian made by a casual forger turned into something better then even the best sandbox maps today. Besides, they should've included this in the first place. Everyone knows the only way to create a good map and avoid the stupid forge physics (we all know how frustrating this is) is to use glitches.

GeneralRafa

Edit: Why restrict even more endless possibilities with better and more commnicative mapping tools creating even better maps by making it cost microsoft points. It is DEFINETLY worth the microsoft points. But, I vote no, because it should not even be priced.
