Has bungie seen this yet?

Logic and Reason over Religion.

They would have to do a whole other disc, like odst for halo3 forge. I would love to see a small team do all of this so we can make little campaigns ourselves, or really cool mp maps.

If you've ever told someone, "Haha, you suck!" think about it like this: you can press buttons more effeciently than they can! Whoop-dee-doo!

Dude, everytime they released new maps I wanted to place dead bodies! Think, the most authentic D-day map ever! (take the Last Resort D-day map and just add dead marines to the beach)

I also agreed with literally every other suggestion. Snowmen... (WTF??? I just got splattered by... carrot nose?)

Where is "Forgable Elephants"? =O

In Reach, I would like to bring back ALL normal vehicles and ALL weapons, such as the Silenced SMG, Automag, and Brute Plasma Pistol and the Spectre vehicle. Even if they don't use them in Campaign or on any default maps or official variants, they should still be an option for those who want to use them.

"When you're pushed to the limit, killing's as easy as breathing."

yeah this would be what forge is meant to be! kinda like far cry 2s map editior which is better that halo 3s forge imo

ⒽⒶⓃⓀ①⓪②⑨③⑧

I would be willing to crank out 1600 MS points for that... maybe even 4000 if it included everything listed.

I see a problem with this though. The problem I am speaking of is actually quite a nemesis for video games. See, when you give the player full control of the maps, the default maps become obsolete; thus making DLC pointless. If you make DLC pointless, Bungie can't make as much money. If Bungie doesn't have any money, they would stop making games.

Look at Far Cry 2 for instance. Everybody plays the custom maps yet nobody plays the Default maps.

even though thats seems so good, giving the players that kind of power would be going overboard, if we had those abilities, we would be basically programing the game... and halo 3 wouldnt be the same... i would have to say no. sorry but i think what bungie has now is perfect... halo 3 is a perfect example of a great game, and though that is a creative idea, i dont think we should be sugguesting what bungie should do.

  • 10.11.2009 8:02 PM PDT

Yeah I think I'd pay 800 for it. That isn't really that steep overall. I don't think I'd go much more over 800 unless it really did incorporate AI. I personally love games with bots but you know.

Halo 3 is boring! If this was to be in an update it would bring this game back, and this is not even close to programing the game, obviously you have no idea how much effort it take to program a game(3 years to put out halo 3), Halo Custom Edition is as close to programing as it can get.

yes but Bungie could develop new canvases in different areas and "planets" that could be all sises, this would keep them bringing in money while also giving us full map control, plus bungie still gets credit for the canvas and surrounding scenery(the stuff you cant edit)and plus, only default maps are put into Matchmaking, user maid maps from scratch would be chaos

I disagree with these updates because firstly it would completely change halo and probably slow down the game and it would lose its popularity

  • 10.12.2009 9:32 AM PDT

With tech like that we could totally spice up halo I mean sure some idiots would make ridiculous maps so don't play em , but for most of us it would mean endless possibilities from custom levels (even games) to car paint compotitions.
