that would be awesome. people that forge alot (like me) would like that. and even people that dont forge alot might get into it.

We fight for that which is lost in the hope that what is lost can be found.

Yeah that would be totally awesome and some of these suggestions go along with my forge ideas that are impossible with forge now. ( like floating platforms for flag bases ) I like the scenery ideas and man cannon strength adjustment. Also maybe some scenery options like peices of broken armor or limbs. Also ajustable ceiling height would be cool. The zone ideas are awesome like you could place a null-gravity zone at the end of a ramp to make warthog jumps farther. Man ANY price would be worth it I say.

Although I am in favor of all these updates and those in the replies, you would almost need a whole new controller for all these, unless you added a separate window, which covers almost all of the new forge features. but still, that "separate window" is another button to press.

I don't care how many buttons I gotta press for a new window. With snapping you could press on the movement analog stick.

i think instead of an actual update, bungie should just make an entire disk for this. just strictly for forging with all of the new features included and multiplayer also

lol I had more ideas. Take off individual item limits and make a universal 500 object limit. Also it should be like if you set something in the air if it falls, where it was set is where it spawns, fusion coil rain lol.

you should put dogs and cats in

  • 12.10.2009 5:21 PM PDT

erm...if they were to do this, they should probably just make a editing kit, like halo custom editions, where you can create your own maps (actual BSP) you walk on,new weapons models animations ect.

Wow, this guy REALLY needs to update the first post, it still says: EDIT: Now that bungie has announced Halo 3: ODST I think the question of this poll should be changed to:

"SHOULD THESE IDEAS BE INCLUDED IN THE NEW GAME?"

  • 12.10.2009 8:02 PM PDT

I'd buy that for a dollar.
Best ideas are the no collision merging thing
and the snap feature
i would forge if they released this
i bet its on reach

Like a ghost staying close to the night....

I think this update should be considered becuase you would need to make like 5-10 bigger updates with some of the functions you are mentioning. It's quite big ideas which would probably take up all space on a regular 360 hard drive.

Why would we honestly pay for an update? We already bought the damn game, and now they still want to nickel and dime us. But now you are encouraging them to go even farther? Also they would never consider most of this because, what you listed was hard- modding (reworking the map terrain and skins). They barely wanted to promote soft-modding, meaning they will never allow hard-modding (we would all then be considered modders).

  • 12.11.2009 12:10 PM PDT

Ya this is totally cool i would pay over 3000 it totally worth it bugie do the impossible.

  • 12.11.2009 12:23 PM PDT

I have to say I agree with each and every suggestion. It would allow for forging to meet with unimaginable ideas that current forging limits us to, not to mention allow for gaming experience in custom and matchmaking to finally feel like as if a war is waging in the level and beyond invisible barrier perimeters.

All hail the mighty Forge system!!!
Without Forge and Custom Games, Halo would be nothing.

If they did this update, things would be alot better in the forge realm.
PS- For all of you active forgers out there, If you wish to join Marathon forgery(AKA-Forge Group), just talk to me.
