Subject: Known Halo 2 Vista Hackers

Over the months I have been playing Halo 2, I have noticed many people are hacking just to win. Seriously, what IS the point of hacking? If it were a game dedicated to Glitches, who would care? But I have adequate evidence to support people are hacking:
Known hackers list: (Evidence would be nice eh.. pictures of postgame stats, videos...)
GEERT WILDERS 9
Lastmapleleaf1 (Something like that)
Ratch3t5 (Peer-hosted)
proh1
Suspected hackers:
None at the moment

Darkness is Light

Light is darkness

The same but apart

Ratch3t5 he's a ass-tard, i recommend blocking him once you see him on H2V, he likes to hack alot, but I only think he does it in peer hosted games.

Using a plural in the title implies that the game has more than one player. ;)

Yeah. I was just playing with him, but he wasn't hacking.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Why worry about hackers when everyone is playing heavy weapons games? :P

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

How is a SS of someone having a near perfect game evidence of cheating? (hint: it isn't)

I will assume SS means postgame stats. . Essentially. Anyway, he was running about 5 times the speed of a normal player. And a 49 killing spree?

Sorry, but a screen shot (SS) like that still doesn't prove anything to the rest of us.

Yeah, well I just played another god damn game with him and he was still -blam!- hacking. If you don't believe me, go find him, and play with him. Some people even urged me to send an email to Xbox Live.

Sorry no. Not good enough. I get accused of cheating everytime I play Halo PC. Without proof, all you're doing is hackusing. Not saying he isn't cheating, but hell, you might be playing someone who is actually very good and not cheating at all.

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

How about you take a video of him speeding around the map at super speed?

Please, please don't call them "hackers" - they're anything but. You should just call them "script kiddies". Chances are, they just went to Google, looked-up some "Halo 2 Vista hacking program" or something like that. Download the .EXE to their desktop, double click it. Run H2V, then press a button on their program.

That's it. That's all they did. They're not hackers.

>_<

People actually care about this game....

Guess it does not take much to make gamers happy.

Not that many people care about the game as very very few people play it.

As far as the increased speed thing, is it possible that this is part of the gametype? Halo PC has gametypes in which you increase in speed.

Can someone who actually plays H2v and knows what they are talking about explain what if any cheats there are in the game...not the glitches I'm talking downloadable cheats.

I can't believe I'm suspected of hacking =(.

First off, I don't hack (but then again people who do hack would probably say the same thing). I've been playing Halo 2 Vista since August 2007, so I have had lots of time to improve my game. I played Halo 1 PC before H2V, and I was rather good with the (super awesome but überly powerful) pistol, so I have lots of experience with aiming.

Next: there are MUCH better players out there than me. Such players are: proh1, Sgt Zarathustra, and reaver12393 (all of whom are on my friends list). When I first played them, they were so good I swore they were aimbotting. But as my skill increased, so did my ability to tell the difference between aim and non-aimbotters. There is the rare occasion that I'll beat them in a game, but that's all just luck (and killing the AFKers lol).

Honestly, I don't understand why I've been suspected of hacking. It's obvious I'm not on the "known hackers" list for a reason (since I haven't shown any visible signs of cheating such as super-speed or super-jump hacks), but I play a legitimate game.

P.S. If anyone knows how to make your Dedicated Server playlist play custom maps, I'd appreciate the information. Thanks!

I'm a bit better now, so you're off the list. And for the dedi server yo play custom maps, put them in your Documents\My Games\Halo 2\Maps and the Program Files\Microsoft Games\Jalo 2 Dedicated Server\Maps
