As most of you know, recently a multiplayer screenshot was released featuring several spartans with "patches" on their armor. This small detail raised all sorts of questions including "will there be more than 2 teams in H2 multiplayer? Well I have just stumbled across a small piece of information burried in the bungie website, if you take a look at Bungie employee Mat Noguchi's profile, you will see that his favorite Halo game is "Burial Mounds, Single flag CTF". He is obviously talking about Halo2 because of the map "Burial Mounds" but I noticed the fact that he said "single flag". The only reason he could be saying this is because there is the possibility of 3+ flags, meaning(most likely) that there can be 3+ teams.
Also, where do you guys think that the map "Burial Grounds" is from, what new environment in Halo2 incorporate such a place.

I need you forum goers to get the creative juices going and tell me what you think, bring your ideas to the table and discuss! These new points that I'm bringing up could be sure idiocy, or may have been posted and for that I apologize(i dont feel like looking for a similar post in 117 pages of threads).

If you want the URL for Mat Noguchi's profile click the following link: http://bungie.net/Inside/MeetTheTeam.aspx?Person=noguchi

If that does not work for whatever reason you can find him in inside bungie>the team>Mat Noguchi I apologize for the long length of this thread and hope it was a good read!

Wasn't single flag also a gametype in Halo 1?

Could be, nice find

I'm thinking Burial Mounds is on another Halo; a Halo that has a desert landscape because of it's closeness to the sun (all of this is unfounded; just a guess)

... That's not proof enough... I have read actual proof, but bungie posted not to talk about that here, since it could ruin their sales...

Single flag is an assault type game in Halo 1, but the map I have no idea, could be a custom made one for Halo pc, I've seen those before.

yea sry bub, but single flag ctf is a game type in halo1. Its when only one of the two teams has a flag at a given time, and the team with the flag switches every 5 minutes or so. But i dont see how that can change anything about your theory, it could just rotate between 3 or more teams.

edit: nevermind, i posted to late.

2nd edit: i am an idiot.
