When I run my home dedicated server, I can't find it on the server list but it says it is running. Does anyone know why this would happen.

I don't think you can actually join your own dedicated server. If you want to play, just make a game in the Halo MP menu.

you can join your own server! first off you better be runnin n some uber bandwidth, like a LAN otherwise, don't even try it, secondly start Halo, Click on settings, then click on network setings, (make sure the profile you use online is active already) change the server port to 2300 and your client port to 2305, this should allow you to join your own server, now i'm not sure if this works if your using two computers and are behind a router but this WILL work if you are hosting the dedicated server and trying to play the game on the same PC, but like I said if you don't have uber bandwith (I had a T1 LAN when i was doing this *sigh* I miss my T1...) otherwise it will not work. YOU will be able to join the game but no one else will, and if other people do join you won't be able to have very many ppl on your server before it crashes. altho with a T1 i can tel you from experience that I could host 16 ppl including myself and the highest ping was 250 with the average ping in the 100's
