Of course, we'd need to know what ingredients you have access to in order to provide you with appropriate recipes.

This site has a lot of recipes, many of which are pretty easy to put together.

Phrog pilots, reckless and free. We would strap into our birds, set the engines on fire, and leave these earthly bonds with a chorus of WHOP WHOP WHOP. Akin to beating your chest and howling in defiance at the rest of the world.

Pasta primavera is always easy, cheap and healthy. If I have one piece of advice though, nail dessert and any cooking blunders won't matter. Girls are always smitten by a nice dessert. A baked apple has always worked for me. Good luck.

In that case, try a bolognase. Two onions, some garlic, mince, two tins of canned tomatoes & two tins of water, herbs, as well as some red wine at the end.

What herbs, I'll leave to you.

I like the pasta ideas. You could keep it simple.

Stew up some pasta noodles [whatever you have]
heat up a bowl
put olive oil in the bottom
wait till your girl friend is about to arrive or is already there
throw in your cooked pasta
toss in some salt, pepper, sun-dried tomatoes, a few olives, onions whatever you like/have
toss a small handful of parmasian cheese on top
get a loaf of french bread from your local bakery
cut it into slices
melt some butter and garlic into a bowl
spread it on the slices
bake for about 7 minutes
set-up the suff on the table
make sure no one is around
yell -BAM!-

There you go. Cheap, easy, healthy meal for two. You are very sweet to do that for her.
