. Paintball is also A LOT MORE REALISTIC than that airsoft crap.... hahhaa paintballs actually hurt.
Yeah, 'cause, y'know...real guns use hoppers, shoot giant cellulose balls filled with paint, are blue/pink/purple, and look like screwed up plumbing projects. At least airsoft guns use friggin' MAGAZINES.
Wait...I honestly think that you don't know what real Airsoft consists of. My bad. There's a lot more to it than the crappy little 20 dollar spring pistols you can get at Wal-Mart.
Real Airsoft is 300 FPS (and that's just stock) guns, fully automatic and battery powered, modeled as closely after the real deal as they can be. No one really knows about these because they're not sold much here in the States; you need to get them from China if you don't want to get ripped off. Airsoft guns can use things like scopes, laser sights, flashlights (and they all actually look good, not to mention that you don't need to worry about a paintball breaking them) and fully functional silencers that make a huge difference in your game.
Don't make prejudiced statements about the sport until you know what's really behind it.
I played airsoft once....In conclusion PB is better
True- Real Airsoft (300 fps) is much more fun
False- You can not only get the "real" airsoft from china, just find an airsoft company and they usually have plenty in stock sometimes they also co-exist in paintball stores.
True- Airsoft is in a sense more realistic
False- They are not only battery electric powered, those ones such you need a quality gas powered one, they get up to 400 fps.
What Sucks- finding a field for them, paintball fields are 10X more popular to find than airsoft, we usually play in our backyard, but one time someone called the cops and thought they were real guns, they had 3 squad units and a canine waiting in the woods for us freaked the -blam!- out of us.
Gas guns will only hit 400+ FPS if you reinforce them and load them up with red gas. It's nearly impossible to pull that with 134-a, Green Gas, or Propane (Propane is my favorite one to use 'cause it's very cheap, easy to find, and pretty reliable.)
Buying an AEG or gas pistol from a store here in the 'States is stupid. They mark up the crap outta the good guns, so you nearly always get ripped off. Plus, they always scratch off the trademarks and put the blaze orange tip on the guns, which is a huge turn-off. If you get it from the right place in China, not only do you get a much better deal, but they just cover up the trades with a putty that comes right off and hide the steel flashider somehwere else in the box. Batteries, however, are a totally different story. BatteriesPlus has become my new favorite store.
Also, finding a field for Airsoft is really easy. You just need to look. Well, maybe I just live in a great place to play Airsoft in. In Utah (the "Happy Valley" area), we have forests up the yinyang, and there's this old abandoned ghost town called Bauer out in the middle of nowhere that's the most awesome place to play ever. Just as long as you can find an area that has a good balance of cover and open spaces, you're good.
