I dunno what you mods might think, but maybe until one of the site gurus can implement a mod button, you guys could take it into your own hands and just create a yahoo account or something, and then share the password, and then everyone can send the reports to one address. The reason I suggested yahoo, is that they just came out with new free accounts that have like 100mb free space, plenty for holding clean-up requests. The only downside would be spam mail, then the spammers could invade the mailbox.

This isn't the best idea, but I'm just brainstorming here, trying to get rid of this ridiculous amount of spam.

Correction - soon to be seven.

seven mods? Going by sketch's post in the underground there should be only six... Is this another mysterious appearance of the number seven?

When the immature squad hit New Mombasa today, a great number of you did the right thing and messaged me (I'm sure stosh and yoozel recieved messages as well). My inbox had 23 new messages when I got on! Great work.

However, some of you seem confused as to what is the right thing to do when spammers raise hell. Here's a quick go-over of proper anti-spammer etiquette:

Do's:

1. IGNORE THE SPAMMER
2. Message SketchFactor, Achronos, Frankie, or one of the mods.
3. Wait patiently for the mods to come and clean up the mess.

Don'ts:

1. Reply to the spam in any way shape or form.
2. Start new posts or polls that have anything to do with the spammer.
3. Message the admins and moderators more than once. Keep in mind: You're not the only one to notice the spammer!

You'll note I put "Ignore the spammer" in bold. This is because of what a spammer is. A spammer's entire sense of purpose lies in angering the forum members and moderators. So, by replying to them with demands, empty threats, or even polite requests, you're confirming that the Spammer's goals are being achieved, and encouraging the spammer to continue. The same goes for starting a new post, such as "Do you hate this guy?" "This guy should be banned," or "Petition to get this guy to stfu." Not only are you telling the spammer "Hey, you're doing a good job, keep it up!" you're also contributing to the spam by posting more off topic threads to the forums.

Keep all this in mind the next (inevitable) time some immature brat comes across the forums. And for those of you that did attempt to alert the mods, thanks. =)

making remarks like that only make us want to do it more,.

No - there were always meant to be seven, but a certain person (not naming any names) took his time to respond.

Am I supposed to dread that? I've yet to figure out what satisfaction you get out of being an idiot. Simple mind, simple pleasures, I suppose. Last night's little show was not much more impressive than a 5 year old throwing a temper tantrum.

haha, pwned!

Seriously, though, how can people get so immature (perhaps retarded is a better word), that they feel the need to post "OMG u r al teh -blam!- fgagits!!!1!!1!11", or "PEN1S" a million times (or something equally retarded), in perfectly good threads? I dont think I want to be a mod anymore, seeing the -blam!- some of you have to put up with. I'd go insane.

Actually, the only person taking his time is Sketch, with the book

And with me, it was all about college finals, which require a lot of your mind, and don't give you too much other room to think about other things

yoo•zel- ('yoo-zhul): slang: vb.

Officium quod Fidelitas.

Well, at HFCS, you can still see who is online, right? Oh'well.

Well people do have a right to voice there likes and dislikes, they must feel very strongly about theres though. Oh' well, we'll just have to clean up each mess. Oh' and I wouldn't go about pissing Achronos off, I'd be very afraid of what he would do to your computer.

The "Online Now" thing is shakey, so I wouldn't always count on that to see if a mod's on or not

I'm hoping plans are in the works to bring back the "Online Now" part of the profile; I don't really know why it was ever taken out, or not featured with the launch of the new site
