in halo 2 you can doubleshot, bxb and bxr and that take more skill then only shoting someone normaly like in halo 3 beacuse in halo 3 the one how get the first hit win, if you dosent suck at the aiming. so thats way I think halo 2 is more skilled then halo 3

I think Halo 3 players are better.
I suck at Halo 3, but whenever I jump on Halo 2, I kick ass.
Explain to me how that works...?

The BXR and BXB really don't take that much skill and are unbalanced and unfair, especially to players who don't use them. The double shot actually involves skill, but a major advantage over players who don't use them either. In Halo 2, there's the game-cripping auto-aim which makes it much easier to aim than in the first or third game.

No no no no no, I know lots of players that were really good at halo and then killed on halo 3. It does not work the other way around. Good people at halo 3 might suck at halo 2, not vice versa.

Same goes for me. In fact, when I played Halo 2 (for like three months) I didn't even know about BXR and such and assumed that I sucked. So I got better, and better. Until eventually I'd just pound the guys from afar with a BR. Simple as that.

I just think halo 3 is to easy to level up, when i started playing i got a level 45 in a few days. Halo 2 it took me months to get a level 45 (legit)

halo 2 takes ABSOLUTELY no skill
ex:Button glitches,superjumps,overpowered weapons,
Halo 3 lead your shots time your powerups and no glitches and doubleshot controllers

Halo 3 FTW

If you can beat a pro, I will believe you. But like I said earlier, being good at halo 2 makes you pwn in halo 3, doesn't work the other way around. Playing halo 3 makes me worse at halo 2.

ARBITER, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT BUTTER!!! WORT WORT WORT.

I don't use button glitches, Not everybody does, but either way there is skill involved with it. That is not something to keep arguing over. You're both wrong.

Super-jumps. Man cannons. Who cares. They have their disadvantages and people can learn to counter all this. That takes a great deal more of skill. And it isn't done every single minute mate.

Overpowered weapons... name one. It all makes sense and works out. Looks like you've been killed and teabagged once in Halo 2., which, somehow, is enough to justify the game being terrible in your eyes. Whatever, there's a forum for you.

Leading shots.. somewhat important. Only on the Battle Rifle. I never use it, so that argument doesn't mean anything to me.

Time your powerups? Dude, just chuck them out there.

The glitch claim, I already destroyed everybody on that. It's over.
Doubleshot controllers... I don't respect that unless you're shooting warthogs.

Being good in Halo 2 does make you own in Halo 3, BUT first you have to get used to the huge delay between actions. But yeah, owning in Halo 2 is how to be a great success in Halo 3.. and it definitely doesn't go the other way. Given that alone... I'd say Halo 2 is more of a man's game.

Back to Warcraft for you.

so you think because people can cheat that makes a more skilled game

what are you talking about none of your comparisons made any sense

Weapon balance sucks in halo 2, control-type power weapon respawns suck, massive auto-aim sucks, glitches suck.

On the plus side you can move a bit faster and change weapons quicker.

I'll stick with halo 3 personally. Like with comparing halo 1 and 2, there are some changes that increase the skill inherent in the game and some that decrease it. It's swings and roundabouts really.

So long as I'm having fun I don't care about inherent skill.

Um, no, you didn't. There is no draw back to using the BXR or the BXB. In the first game, there was a draw back to using a double melee because it involved throwing a grenade. You had to use your own grenade and risk getting blown up if you didn't do it right. A BXR has little draw back. BXB? No skill. The double shot? Takes skill, definitely, but the fact of the matter is nobody should be forced to use them in order to gain that competitive advantage. Massive auto-aim and noobified weapons has made Halo 2 an easier game to play than the first or third.

Meh, WarCraft was a better game anyways. :D

A sense of realism in a game is a good thing. Even though Halo is a SCI-FI fantasy FPS game; it is based off of reality. I dislike cancelling animations. It breaks my immersion into the game when i see people using glitches. For fun, when everyone agrees, its alright to fool around. Otherwise, leave i it alone.

(IT IS EASY AS HELL TO GLITCH. . . MATE.)

Why are you here?

Halo 2 hardcore is pure skill, it is harder to get a 30 in hardcore in Halo 2 than a 45 in Halo 3 Hardcore.

There are no secondary starts, so you can't start off doubleshotting. BxR and BxB don't mean that much as most of the maps are open, it is purely about skill. Most of the people that that complain about Halo 2 sucked at it and think that because they are a higher level in Halo 3 that it takes more skill. It takes even less skill in Halo 3, I would know, I got a 50 in a few weeks.

Don't blame not being able to level up on doubleshotting, you don't encounter that until the 30
+ usually, and most of you complainers are like level 5....

Halo 2 takes more skill, Halo 3 is more balanced and slow, thus making it easier.

halo 2 is just a laggy super jumping fiasco with very few options....both weapon wise and lobby wise (forge, theater, match making, custom games)
