Yeah, go join a war somewhere, that's even more realistic. Try and see how many bullets you can take...just for fun you know?
That's ice cold, baby.
Sorry, I'm just tired of 5 year old kids who talks about stuff they know nothing about >_<

TEZLA { @N$3CT } JIRQUAN!

Ok learn how to spell first so I can actually read what you are trying to say. Anyway both games take skill but one thing I noticed when playing Halo 2 was the melee was weaker(which is'nt that bad) and the sniper rifle is alot easier to use than halo 3's. Halo CE's melee was almost rediculously weak.

Ridiculously weak? It just takes three melees to kill someone, and two while running or jumping; those who mastered the double melee were kings at close quarters, and that took skill. It's just that meleeing in Combat Evolved is much harder to do without the ludicrously noobified lunge in the subsequent sequels, and less rewarding.

halo 2 takes ABSOLUTELY no skill
ex:Button glitches,superjumps,overpowered weapons,
Halo 3 lead your shots time your powerups and no glitches and doubleshot controllers

Halo 3 FTW

If you can beat a pro, I will believe you. But like I said earlier, being good at halo 2 makes you pwn in halo 3, doesn't work the other way around. Playing halo 3 makes me worse at halo 2.

Russel, from the looks of your service record, you aren't very good at halo 3. It takes a lot more skill than halo 2 because there are no button glitches, there is slow weapon switching, less auto aim, less bullet magnetism, less melee lunging, less splash damage from nades and rockets, and you have to lead your br shots.

What? Less melee lung? Are you serious?

Do you mean for the sword, right?

Video games are my favourite video games.

People who are skilled at Halo 2 are skilled at Halo 2. As such, they may be skilled at Halo 3, or they might suck at it.

Wow... Other than a very select few on this thread, most of you have no idea what you're talking about. To those of you who complain because "50 is so easy to get!!!" Yeah? Look back at when halo 2 came out. Notice how easy high levels were to get? :) Second, they're both very different games. But in Halo 2, a person can run into a room ith 4 people in it and own them all thanks to more grenades, increased lunging distances and all the button combos. Whereas in Halo 3, it takes a lot more tactical thinking than just running into a room with 4 people in it. Otherwised you could get owned no matter how good they are. Simply put, you can go rambo in halo 2, and thanks to ridiculous auto-aim and button combos, you can walk out alive. Whereas Halo 3, is more of a thinking and strategy game. Dont get mad because you expect the two games to be the same, just adapt and learn.

In halo 3 I ran into a room dual wielding a magnum and a SMG and got an Overkill, In halo 2 the most you can get is 1-2 without getting killed and if there were good at H2 you wouldn't even get a kill

Posting meaningless posts, aren't we? Last time I checked, forums were meant for this thing called "discussion," and these forums are about "jsut video games." Thus, people tend to converse on these topics, but I suppose that's too radical to understand.Posted by: xJASON VOORHEES

Then why bother posting this flame bait reply? First of all, the topic isn't whether or not which game is better, but which game takes more skill, so that's an absurd reply to post to begin with. The visuals, yes, are not as good, but Halo 2 looked better in 2004 than Halo 3 did last year. In fact, Half-Life 2 looks better than Halo 3, and that came out in 2004, if I can say that without appearing biased. Halo 2's maps aren't all gems, but where is my Midship? Sandcrap and Isolation can be lost into obscurity for all I care. And although Halo 3 no doubt has more variety, most of it is bland redundancy.

I think Halo 3 players are better.
I suck at Halo 3, but whenever I jump on Halo 2, I kick ass.
Explain to me how that works...?

No no no no no, I know lots of players that were really good at halo and then killed on halo 3. It does not work the other way around. Good people at halo 3 might suck at halo 2, not vice versa.

QFT

Your Wrong. Halo 3 isn't even like Halo 2, in halo 3 you use way different tactics in games then in halo 2. If you play halo 2 more then halo 3 then you'll probably be use to how halo 2 works but if you only play halo 3 then you'll probably destroy the halo 2 players at halo 3. If you've played both games you would know that the physics are different in either game and what might be a "good tactic" in one game might be a idiotic move in the other. sniping is different, different weapons in halo 3, weapons are balanced differently in either game. It all matters on which game you are use to.

in halo 2 you can doubleshot, bxb and bxr and that take more skill then only shoting someone normaly like in halo 3 beacuse in halo 3 the one how get the first hit win, if you dosent suck at the aiming. so thats way I think halo 2 is more skilled then halo 3

I will admit that halo 2 is nice, but to spite you in your own language, U IZ BEING STOOPIT.

i went to a halo 2 tournament at my friends high school, but they changed it to halo 3 since they didn't have enough halo 2 game discs. Everyone there played halo 3 except me and my friend and I won the tournament easily

Add me: Sapper Johnson
And play some H2 with me and my custom friends and tell me it takes no skill.
Theres a huge difference between the two games and halo 2's skilled players shine through so much more than H3.
In halo 2, a noob will never get a kill on someone good but in H3 they have at least half a chance, six assault rifle shots and a beat down and you're there, how ridiculous is that!

This is exactly right.
All good H2 players i.e - level 28ish + will be good at halo 3 and have at least a 40. I'm a 46 in H3 but I would'nt stand a chance at getting there as quick as i did if i tried on Halo 2. In halo 2 any level 30 or more will be a damn good player and 40s will be intense. But a forty in halo 3 can be very poor and the difference between level 30s and below is marginal.
Halo 2 generally has a far more skilled standard of playing and you have to earn your next level.
Anyone who disagrees I will happily play on both games to prove my point

It is easier to thrash bad players in halo 2.

This does not consitute greater skill.

Good players in halo 3 have to leverage more skill than they did in halo 2 to win by the same margin. That doesn't sound less skilled to me.
