Dear Frankie,
I know it seems like we are all saying good-bye, but I feel like we’re actually saying “Halo” to you again in a more pertinent classification. You’ve chosen the way of Halo and for that you’ve garnered more for the gaming community as a whole.
I’m not sad that you’re leaving the Bungie crew, because I know that you’ll still be there to harass them and eat their yummy hidden snacks.
I honestly couldn’t think of a better role for you than perpetuating and propelling the Halo universe. Microsoft has made the obvious choice in hiring you to further the Halo canon and for your deft, and/or daft, writing skills.
I’m sure it was a hard decision to leave the Bungie crew (an entire Olympic sized swimming pool full of money would do it for me too), but I know that you will be sticking to your guns, or your duel plasma pistols. You have an intrinsic knowledge of and passion for the story and Microsoft is far better off having you detail the progression. Those of us who love Halo will, no doubt, gain from your decision.
I look forward to your continuing contributions, and I’m sure your ideas and knowledge will ease the rest of us into a more engrossing epic and further the tantalizing adventure in the Halo universe.
Congratulations. We flippin’ love you, in a very hetero-blam!-, gamer way, of course. You’ve done us right and we look forward to your skillful arbitration of more Halo.
Good luck and God bless,
Strattos
P.S. If that was the last Mister Chief, I’ll be damned.
