Heyyo,

For the text? go into your HaloPC folder, and install the "msxmenu.msi"

for the graphics? well, the new nvidia drives suck really bad with halo. You can try downgrading to v53.22... those worked fine before for my old FX5600 (which sucked..)

If the game closes up right after you open it, without reaching the logo cinematics, i recommend this site. Its long, but provides quite a bit of info about running halo pc. Also, my post of advice is there too.

One trick to get past the opening screen and into the cinematics and into the game itself is to click the mouse as many times as possible while the opening screen is displayed. As for those graphics, have you thought of running halopc in safe mode? I do that, and it runs fine on a cheap graphics card AND a slow processor (amd athlon @ 518 MHz)

Heyyo,

Like I said, Nvidia did bad support for this game, and that's why the new drivers suck. Try getting older nvidia drivers, those dont' run as good, but at least the game will look right..

Did you try the fast-click solution BEFORE installing any of that crap? It worked for my computer. (This is only a loophole, NOT a solution to the problem.)

And if that didn't help, did you try everything the people on the forum (i refered to) tried?

Just know that it is a VERY big problem with many halopc users.

I found my solution by banging various parts of my computer repeatedly in anger, such as the keyboard, touchpad, screen (not good, since i have a scratch on it now) and disk drive, until i banged on the mouse and made the game work.
