Heyyo,
Yesterday, I popped in HaloPC.. saw 2012 player playing it...
I popped in Battlefield 1942... OMG! 6030 PLAYERS!!! :o
Note the number difference on those games. And complainers aren't the minority, they are the HaloPC gamers cause we gotta half-good product. A quick hack n' slash job that was made to just further advertise Halo for $box. It runs like junk on systems much more powerful than an $box, and lots of warping caused by bad netcode.. and don't tell me it's because they made the netcode for 56k dialup. I had dial up, this game sucks on dial up. As soon as their's more than 10 people? you lag out and get disconnected from the server. I bet it's because they want people to think an $box is better and it seems to have worked cause lots of $box flamers come on here and proclaim their version of Halo is better, gj m$, you confused the blind... now "try" and give us a properly made Halo2PC.
Now, Battlefield 1942 is made by DICE. They support the game heavily. The very powerful and good Punkbuster anti-cheat system, native Linux DServer support, very useful patches, multiplayer AI, GREAT netcode, very high detailed textures and graphics, full modding support, full mapping support. They even released a new patch just because of a special hack that punkbuster apparently couldn't catch! Great company, great game. I've bought almost all the Battlefield game releases. I just need Road to Rome now, and Battlefield 2 is one of my top priority game buys in the near future. Sure, they're hard at work on Battlefield 2, but they still care a lot for their past releases. :)
