Ok, so the other week I upgraded from 512k to 1Mb broadband - 'well done' I hear you say. However, I have noticed that my ping value is higher than it used to be in general. I haven't tried it in any other of my games yet, as I've just been playing Halo solid. It it just a myth that the quicker the broadband the lower the ping - seems to be in my case. The upshot of this though is that I can now download maps etc for Halo CE quicker!

Heyyo,

Hmm, remember, ping is affected by more than just internet speed. It's also by distance, and how crammed that server and ISP is.

Obviously, a server across the street is more likely to give you a lower ping than one in another country.

But yes, it should help you have more stable games since you can now transfer and receive more data at a time.

How much is 1 MB internet per month? And if you got it and then split it wirelessly, would it be faster than DSL being split?

Heyyo,

The lower the number the better guys. that delay's in miliseconds. So a 1000mS delay is bad since that equals 1 second.

13mS is extremely good! :)

btw, remember:

m = mili

M = mega

same goes for others like:

small k = 1000

big K = 1024

computer memory modules are in big K's. ;)
