Jew man is right on the money. Floodgate is the best level to start with. Also, watch the videos I posted in the original post of this thread. They pretty much walk you through each mission.

And if that doesn't help you. StaroceanZero and I have Floodgate runs in our file share. And all the others you'd need. (Except I don't have The Ark yet). And Vince has a few of his runs.

As do I.

Here's something in regards to Crow's Nest which no one else seems to have picked up on yet. Remember the Drones in the pipes? I've gotten to a point where I just bring a deployable cover, Brute shot, and BR to just battle them out. This way you'll wind up with plenty of plasma pistol ammo for the next few areas. Lack of plasma pistol ammo seems to be the leading cause of death during both the barracks battle and the jump pack area.

I thought we were doing that the whole time? lol

Anyways, since I'm nearly 100% positive I don't have a lab today, I should be able to be online at 5:00, so I'll meet you guys then. If I'm not there, then you'll know why.

Awesome! Sounds like a plan :-)

And as for the Drones, we usually usually just run past them, and all four of us bring plasma pistols from the first area in which they appeared. However, since there's only one player in SLASO, you don't have the benefit of being able to move 12 weapons at once, so I've started killing the Drones in the pipes just so I have some ammo for the barracks and Jump Pack Brutes.

i dont like the posting of gamevee videos showing how to win SLASO. i feel it takes away from the accomplishment of completing SLASO since it is getting easier due to the video walkthroughs. I Guess it unavoidable though, like the vids showing the skulls locations.

Look at it this way;

Even with the walkthroughs readily available, it still takes a special kind of player to actually go through with it. The game is still designed in such a way that the events will never unfold exactly the same way every time. There are several things you'll still need to figure out on your own. The guide is there simply to do just that... guide you when you aren't sure of any known routes to take rather than actually play the game for you.

Also why is campaign scoring good for proof? Isn't the game link enough proof?

It used to be until people started using the Save & Quit cheat. The reason why scoring helps to prove its authenticity is because if you Save & Quit, then start the game from where you left off, scoring automatically switches off, and the only way you can get it back is by restarting the mission.

This is a good method simply because not everyone has 24 slots available in their fileshare. Many people still only have six.

Keep in mind that one of the biggest challenges people face when doing SLASO is being able to get through the level without dying. That's what separates us from the rest.

My mistake, I was thinking of the first Drone battle, before the motor pool. I find the Gravity Hammer works pretty well too, we should try that as well as the Brute shot thing.

So yeah, no lab today, which means CLASO is a go for me.

I was playing The Ark earlier. Everything was going perfect. I had one Marine stay alive the WHOLE way from the beginning to the Prowlers, He survived the Hunters and everything. I was able to keep all 4 Marines alive from the Prowler Area. 5 Marines in total. 4 In a Prowler one in a Mongoose. Rocketed up the Prowler and owned the first area. Got a Chopper and owned the 2 Ghosts under the Bridge. By this time there was a Mongoose with a Passenger with me. Cleared the next area and gave the Mongoose a Fuel Rod Gun. Killed the Wraith and all the Brutes. Cleared the Grunts and Brutes in the alcove area. Suddenly the AA-Wraith turns and starts attacking me! Destroys my Chopper, I try to get close to it by PPing it and moving around it. Didn't work. I knew the perfection wouldn't last. :(

You'll always want to destroy at least one from a distance. Just like on The Covenant, sometimes they are proned to attacking you, particularly if you are attacking the other one. Nice job on getting that far though :-)

I found a little trick with the Chopper. If you tap RT rather than hold it down. You deal more damage. Which helped me take out Ghosts. But a tip :)
