Haha, yeah. Well at least I've done it now. I'm off now to send Shadow the clip for him to download so he can record it for my Kamikazi guide.
Gazas-
I got you videos all nice and toasty, hot off the grill. They are uploading right now, but here is the link for the download when they are ready-
Gazas's Clips
If you visit the link and they aren't all there, then just give it a bit so that it finishes uploading. Your files will include-
gazasfirstperson- a clip of your first person perspective (minus the time bar and gamertag watermarks)
gazasang1- a clip from the perspective of up above, may need some t-blam!- at the end.
gazasang2- a clip from near the Jackel doorwar looking down towards the ramps, giving a good angle of the brutes killed on the ramp, and the Jackels.
gazasang3- a clip from above the ramps, giving a good view of brutes getting their armor destroyed, your escape to the upper ramps, and the battle with the brutes on the ramps.
gazasjackels- a clip aimed at the Jackel's doorway (slightly different from what you asked, sry, I just figured it'd be easier to get more of the clip this way. I can redo if you want), and then the camera pans back, and then slowly turns to follow behind Jackels as you deal with them. (note: it takes like 40 seconds for the jackels to come out, so its kinda boring at first. I recommend t-blam!- that clip.)
gazasfreecam- a clip in free camera mode, where I started down in the middle, to show the vast combat from a closer 3rd person perspective. The camera then follows you, but stays slightly back to take in many aspects of the map.
You may have noticed that I didn't get that circle clip you asked, and here is why- My capture card software displays the video preview about 1 second after it actually happens, so it's hard to move the camera on the fly... Like, I have to predict moving my controller 1 second before I want it to happen. Here's an example of what might happen:
I'm turning a corner with the camera, and I want to turn to the right, I'd push my thumbstick to the right, but nothing would happen. Then, 1 second later, it actually happens. The only way to fix this would be to split the video connection and have one end go to a TV so I can see what I'm doing live, and not after that 1 second delay.
So, all in all, the circle clip kept screwing up, seeing as how I'd have to have the camera moving constantly, so instead, I replaced it with the free camera clip.
Usually, because of this 1 second delay, I ask people to just make a clip in theatre of the exact way they want the camera to move, so that all I have to do is just click play on the xbox, and record on the computer, and let it go. But with campaign videos, you cant make clips per se, so it presented itself a small challenge.
In the end, I recommend you shave .5 sec or so off the beginning and end of each clip, just to get rid of the whole pause when everything is stopped before I press play/record, and to get rid of the little "end clip" option that pops up at the end.
So, I hope your happy with how these turned out. Get back to me about how you feel about them and if you want anything changed. Also note, I recorded these for optimal video quality on youtube/gamevee, so they may seem slightly blurry in windows media player, as the video will be better quality when compressed to the youtube/gamevee size.
Happy Holidays everyone :)
